You have no Idea how long I have been looking forward to this day! Your bedroom makeover series is my favourite one so far and I have been watching you since day one! Even though my style is far from yours I couldn't be happier for you! You definitely deserve the bedroom of your dreams.

Sophia, you have made your bedroom into a place of retreat. I loved that you were teaching the boys the skill of laying the floor and using the saw. They may not appreciate it now but one day they will have a home of their own and will know how to do these things. God bless you for all your effort you have put into this room.

It looks really nice. If you do this again in another room, any damaged ones you can collect them put them in the box and return them as damaged merchandise. They will replace with a new box.

Shiny floor for me is perfect. For some reason the wet look finish just screams “freshly washed”. My floor is looking dull, needs to be sanded and revarnished. Lucky you finishing off the floor! Wish it was mine.

Nice job! Makes the room look completely different! I did laminate flooring in part of my house and then 8 years later I pulled it all up and redid the entire house (one level 1500 sq ft home) in wood flooring. I figured I got experience with the laminate flooring. When doing the wood floors, I started at one end of the house (in the bedrooms) and worked my way to the other end of the house (the public rooms) so as to work out any kinks in what I was doing long before I got to the living room and dining room areas of the home. I waited a few weeks to put back up new baseboards to make sure sure the floors were “breathing” properly. I never used 1/4 round trim since I had pulled up all the old baseboards and replaced with new 6” baseboards. Took me a year from one end of the house to the other, but well worth it (and I didn’t work outside the home). It also allowed me to remove everything from the rooms as I went along and declutter. Only the good quality furniture, sentimental items and anything beautiful that brought us pleasure to look at made it back in. (I know that’s subjective to each individual.) Got rid of 75-80% of what we had. It was wonderful when done! Not a minimalist, but it was so wonderful to have cleared spaces all around the rooms and corners. It was like a new home.

It really is just a matter of personal preference, because I actually like that shiny look! My husband and I removed the carpet and installed Traffic Master in our family room by ourselves. This was back in 2006 and it is still holding up. Granted production quality could have changed between then and now. You've done a great job! I can't wait to see the completed before and after.

I have had cheap laminate in my dining room, a very high traffic area, for almost 15 years now. I do not see much damage. Also, I have hardwood maple floors in my living room, and if I dropped a weight on them, they would dent. High quality hardwood doesn't mean scratch or dent proof. I'm not complaining, I love your videos. Just saying some of the cheap laminate is a good alternative to bare floors.

I like shiny, it looks clean and newly varnished.

I love the colour of the flooring. A bedroom doesn’t get as much foot traffic as the downstairs of a property so a less expensive product is perfect in my opinion. Please, please, please vlog the Art Deco quilt you make because my bedroom is navy blue too and you be been wanting to make an Art Deco quilt for my bed. After all you’re the person that inspired me to quilt. I started then end of 2020. I’ve made 12 now for other people and I want the next one to be for me. Keep up with what you’re doing. We did laminate and I have no regrets. Our master had the original carpet and our home was built in 1986. So easy to vacuum with my stick Dyson and now I scrub it with my Bissel crosswave.
