The combo for this song was meant to be. Sophie kills it, her voice and accent is so mesmerizing ,those violins punch the shit out of my heart, feels so good.

Don't normally go for covers, but this one is a brilliant rendition of a classic song.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor must have had a really good taste in music when she was younger, and obviously still does have now. New Order are a really cool group.

I love Sophie. She's a lovely woman and a talented singer. IMHO, she doesn't do a great job with one of my favorite songs ever. HOWEVER [!], it's clear to me that she and the band are putting in their very best effort and paying the song and New Order the respect they deserve. While I may not particularly like her rendition, I really do respect the effort Sophie and her mates put into it.

I first heard this song in 1987 when I was a senior in college and I instantly fell in love with it. Hearing this cover for the first time a week ago, I have fallen in love with it all over again and I’ve probably listened to it 40 times by now. The original by New Order will always hold a special place in my heart, but if I’m being honest, this cover is far better. Bravo!
