2 questions: Can you install this with a slight tilt for rain? And is it safe to put something like a fridge under this and not worry about it getting wet??

Would be so much more useful if the video wasn’t speeded up at points where detail of joints or fixings is needed

How is the water going out of the piles?

As far as I can tell it goes through the post. From the roof it falls into the side bars depending on the slope and into the post.

Best decision we made getting this. It will take good few years before I find out how well it keeps. Not that it means much but the design did win RedDod award.

Roughly how long did it take you to put this together? Also, did you end up securing it to the ground? Any tips or “gotchas” you can share?

Slowly done. It took half a day on my own with little help from the wife. And I didn't bolt it down. We use it a lot plus in winter we store things under it. It is so worth it for us. Still loving it..

@@DIY_Easy Hi! We just got it and I will be installing it next weekend. I just watched a video where someone reviews it (not an owner) and based on construction they say it won't be solid enough to withstand strong wings and snow on during winter even when left open. How was your experience in winter? Do you get strong wind where you live?

@Pixelsurgery Hi. We now had it for some time now and that was the best decision we made. In snow it is advisable to keep it open although we didn't. Lol. We recently had heavy gust and it was fine. I guess as long as it is not directly facing high-speed wind, that may be an issue. Luckily for us we don't live in area such as that. Overall we are loving it. I do enjoy having my tea under it on a nice warm rainy day. Lol

@@UsedReviews Thank you for prompt reply. I love in Canada so some snow storms can be quite windy. I might look into maybe removing the roof during winter, although it not something I would be excited to do :/.
