Love what you did with the Spiderman figure too. I added "web wings" like he has in the comics using car body mesh, then painted them black. LOTS of swearing, re-cutting and bending, and gluing them in place was a night mare, to say the least, but they look "Spectacular" :-D Downloaded the PDF on Black Widow, so now have something to work with that'll make her shiny outfit look good :->

This is a perfect example of how amazing OSL looks when done well; it really does fool the eye into thinking that the nuclear generator is throwing off actual light. By the way, I never realized that's what that was supposed to be; I guess Doc Ock has given up on the idea of ever having kids...

Awesome work as usual. Looks like you have your hands full between Crisis Protocol and Legion, but have you considered doing a generic Western Legends video? They’re all just cowboys so the palette would be very similar for all of them, but I’d like to get your take on a few of those figures.

Hi Sorastro, I just wanted to say really great job on all the Marvel Miniatures lately. You inspired me to get a full set of Vallejo Model Color, something which I have been in love with using these past few weeks with all the recent free time I’ve had. Thank you so much for being a wonderful teacher and having absolutely killer editing, and production on your videos. When did you start painting miniatures? When did you start getting Scale75 paints? What made you want to use Scale 75? I don’t know if I’m quite ready to jump into That brand yet as learning to thin gel medium seems like a bit of an uphill battle for my one track kinda mind haha. I just started dabbling in the contrast paints and woah are they unique and kind of fun, so maybe I am. One new paint at a time though 😉. Anyways thank you for really showing me that I could do this. It all started with your blood rage miniatures way back when for me when I really considered getting into this hobby. I bought a Badger Patriot 105 airbrush to Zenithal prime( something I still use today some 2-3 years later) Saved me a ton on rattle can. And a full line of P3 paints.
@Sorastro

Thanks a lot Casey! I used to paint Warhammer (Fantasy and 40K) as a kid, so on-and-off for quite a few years (decades!). I bought most of the Scalecolor paints a couple of years ago because I enjoy trying different paint ranges out, but only relatively recently started properly exploring the super matte range as I was searching for colours for these Marvel minis. And boom - I just LOVED the red tones when I used them for Iron Man, then the green tones also for Hulk; the colours just have such a purity and vibrancy. I also really liked the yellows which I used here.. :)

@Sorastro
@Sorastro 4 жыл бұрын
Well, I like the Vallejo Model Color range of fluorescent tones, but there are others that are fine too - such as the Scale75 "FX Fluor" tones, and Warcolor also make some. They key to using them is to ensure you've got a fairly white undercoat to beneath, as the tones are somewhat translucent. :)

Hey guys, hope you can answer me a question about paints. Can i thin down GW contrast paints with lahmian medium or does this "destroy" the contrast paints ability to do what it is supposed to do.
@TheRunesmythe
@TheRunesmythe 4 жыл бұрын
Contrast Paints can be thinned down with Lahmian Medium, Contrast Medium, Glaze Medium, Airbrush Flow Improver and even water. This will definitely weaken the color (which in some cases like Shyish Purple is good, while in other like Magos Purple might be problematic) but they'll essentially work just the same. The only you might find is that you need to do a little more work to avoid getting a really bad splotchy finish depending on the color.
