I find a nice and easy way to do lightsabers is a couple light coats of stormhost silver and then paint over them with waystone green and soulstone blue, you could alternatively use tesseract glow for the green lightsabers on Grievious

I've always been a fan of how you apply those light glazes to show the reflection of the light from the lightsabers....really brings some perspective to these figures!

Awesome video! I in no way want to disrespect the work you did here, but the way you did the battle damage is worthy of its own video. I've never seen anything like it and it looks great. The ability to replicate it easily and change colors makes it a great tool in any painters arsenal. Happy New Year!

Again amazing paint job and the filming is head on, makes it alot easier to follow. One if not the best tutorial/guides youtuber for miniature painting out there. A question to you O great maestro. Do you have any of the new kickstarters backed? Like Aeon Trespass: Odyssey or Oathsworn: Into the Deepwood or Dawn of Madness? Would love to see you paint some of those miniatures in the future!

I've just bought the Clone Wars Box as my first Star Wars: Legion product ever. As excited as I was to finally start with Star Wars: Legion, I made a terrible mistake: I've built the whole miniature with the cloak before painting it. Do you have any tips, how to properly paint it with the cloak attached yet? Nevertheless, thank you for your amazing videos!

i have yet to see someone use contrast paints as well as you in fact just even use contrast paints everyone has constantly bashed them and refused to use them but now thanks to you improbably about to drop like 30 dollars at least on contrast paints, my wallet hates you already keep up the great work and you should try and paint some games workshop models they have some incredible sculpts keep up the great work

As somebody new to painting miniatures, would it be best painting that "Vallejo Matt Varnish" over the entire model after painting for a sealing coat, or is it better just to buy a matt spray for models? Do you seal yours when your done painting?

Another beautiful video! I love how you combine the approaches with classical paints and contrast colours, to get the best of both worlds and even save some time. And I love the music! A question that came up when watching this: You are using Schmincke white and I thought you already answered somewhere why you chose it, but I am unable to find your answer so I have to ask again :-) Is schmincke white somewhat superior to other whites in consistency or pureness? Or just personal choice? I think about if its worth picking it up or sticking to my vallejo white? Thank you in advance :-)

Hi! Bit late to the party here 😅How would you suggest getting a similar effect with an already glued cloak? I got a bit ahead of myself and constructed the mini without painting it first and I've no idea how I'm going to manage painting it with so little room.

Has anyone ever tried using magnetic paint, strips, or even small magnets to attach models to their bases so the bases could be switched out? I like the idea of having decorated bases but don't want to be stuck with one design.

Amazing work as always! The gradients on the lightsabers really catch the eye! Unfortunately I don't have an airbrush, so I can't get the zenithal effect. Any recommendations on getting those white highlights, or which colors to use to highlight the metal and armor since I can't zenithal?

How do you figure out the color mixing, especially for the armor? Is is from an understanding of color theory, experimentation, or something else? Great work on all your videos, BTW.

I have a question, what are the actual reasons you Zenithal highlight a mini? Is it to take reference pics for later when highlighting? I prime with spray cans and am wondering if an airbrush is a worthwile investment, but that depends how useful these Zenithal highlights really are. Love your paintjob of this one btw!
