I used to be toxic when I was younger lol. Id even make them find my last vil, I'd hide it somewhere, when I'd get really angry. Ill admit I was a sore loser lol

@keithherron2705 11 that is pretty funny.. I think we have all done a thing or 2 that we aren't proud of. I remember when I was around 14-15. I was having a bad day and losing a game. So ofc the only thing left to do was hiding a vill in every corner, minimising the game and watching anime. Not proud about it but I still find it funny 11

I feel like if someone asks for their opponent's vill count, and the opponent responds, they should extend the same courtesy in kind.

The losing “but you’re so bad” griefing and berating is pretty common around 1.1K elo, also sometimes from lower ranked team game allies who die early and blame it on you. I like to tell myself it’s just disgruntled 12 year olds and not grown ass man-children so I don’t get mad.

@@42Longlegs the struggle is REAL, started playing 7 months ago i dropped down to FOUR HUNDRED 11... now back to 850 and it's NOT LOW ELO 11

@@eodo14051700 elo here, we are low elo it is just we tend to improve over time after 5 month of ranked taught me basic build order, eco management, early rushes thats why 1000 elo newbie having hard time against us

900 elo low elo legends. I mean, I guess we're in the bottom 50th %ile, but in my experience most players in the 800-1000 elo have squared away early game with no major issues. I have solid times for Feudal and Castle with good walling and early rushes. We certainly can't compete with higher levels, but we tend to be underestimated. I certainly thing competition keeps getting stiffer on the ranked ladder.

I'm kinda scared to try ranked for that reason. Starting at 1000 elo is a daunting thing, especially with how much the whole ladder has improved. Starting with a 40 loss streak just does not seem very fun.

@@Begleitkubusit's not fun initially, but try to think of it as a process necessary to improve future matchmaking rather than a judgement of your worth. Not easy, I know. I logically know that my worth in life isn't how good I am at AOE2, but my heart pounds every time I start a ranked game. Eventually, you'll get matched against those with your skill level and then the games get fun.

number wise average elo is 800-1200 anyways :D if you are above 1500 elo its probably like top 1000 :D I got back to 900 eventually but left rankeds for long time... I just cant keep up the phase of changes and updates, pathing issues etc.

there is an huuuge difference between a 800 and a 1000 ELO player, as there is between 1000 and 1100, i know because i cannot get higher xD

this is so true. I was playing a few years ago at 1650, now I cant hold 1400 and have noticed much better play at the lower-mid level

17k difference in resources collected, in favour of the player who only had a single TC for most of the match vs his opponent getting 3 asap. A good showcase of constant vil production, vil allocation and appropriate econ upgrades. Oz even spent most of their resources, so the extra collected weren't wasted.

just saw that they activated a bunch of event cheat codes yesterday, including one that lets you research the same tech up to 256 times, with the effect stacking... and I can't help but want a 256x tech community game now...

Oz definitely played better. Plus, monks for healing is incredibly good, especially at low elos, which Oz managed to implement really well.

I'm 900 elo. Yeah, I think he's a good representation of the 900-1000 elo (maybe his regular elo is slightly higher and he's at 900 after a losing streak)

Fun game as always with LEL. And I think reds "insult" wasn't really an insult. Being bad is not the same as playing bad. At least not to me. Being bad can also mean being ruthless and without mercy. And as being said so many times, this is a war game especially in 1v1 ranked. 😎
