Sort List View Android Studio Tutorial + Toolbar With Show Hide Toggle Buttons

Күн бұрынIn todays tutorial we are sorting our shape list example List View in Android Studio using Java. By the end of this tutorial we will be able to sort our List View by Name Ascending, Name Descending as well as ID ascending and ID Descending.
We also add in a Tool Bar above our List View. This toolbar will have two buttons that are both toggle Buttons.The first button will allow the user hide or show the search view and our filter buttons. The second button will either show or hide the sort buttons.
At the end of this tutorial we will have a sortable, filterable, searchable List View.

Hey Cal This video is amazing and helping me a lot to make my own App! Just one thing I'd like to know is tht If u wanna make some shapefilterbutton unselected by pressing the button twice? Wut should I do? Thanks advance

Hi stackoverflow.com/questions/15353457/single-click-and-double-click-of-a-button-in-android Great thread here regarding how to recognise. Either double tap or long press of button. Then instead of adding to our selected shapes list we want to remove :) so I would just do what we do when we add a filter but the opposite.

Sir, Please help me. I am basically making an application which displays various food stores in a listview. But I want to display some specific Items from Listview items which are near to user's location. I have no idea to do this. Please help me. Thanks in Advance. android

Sure, sounds like you'll need to achieve 3 things. 1 Store the location of each of the food stores in your custom class for example longitude latitude or maybe as it's own object Position or something. 2. Request the users current location see developer.android.com/training/location/retrieve-current#java 3. Calculate the distance between user location and store location for every store / item. Then you can sort your list by the closest. Hope this helps and good luck. :)
