Here's a theory. Does Stolas treat Blitzø the way he does because he thinks that that's what Blitzø enjoys after the way their first time went?

Notice how Stolas' dad tells him "we don't bow to them, they bow to us" and in the last ep of the first season you can clearly see how even now Stolas bows to Blitzø 😭😭😭

Most people’s initial criticism of Stolas as someone who did wrong unto his wife, seemingly without reason than lust, is actually the perfect example of the way an abuse victim might be viewed by their peers since everything happens behind closed doors. And we also see how this situation has affected Octavia, who was/is unaware of Stella’s abuse of Stolas, which furthers people’s initial criticism on Stolas. I think the complicated situation depicted around Stolas makes the story even more compelling and realistic.

So I have a theory about Stolas: Considering he is an owl which is a type of bird that many types of tend to mate for life, that got me thinking... What if he imprinted on Blitzo when he saw him? That would explain why he always remembered him after not seeing him for 25 years. It would also explain why he's so willing to break rules for him and why it hit him so hard when he realized Blitzo doesn't see them as in a romantic relationship. I'm not sure who to feel worse for Stolas or Blitzo?

The book was about Asmodean crystals. Someone translated the pages and apparently Asmodean crystals are granted to Succubus and Incubus, to give them access to the living world, to do their job, much like Stolas' grimoire. So people are theorizing based on the context that Stolas wants to give Blitz his own crystal so they don't have to meet up for the book anymore :c

They say "watch the pilot to prepare for season 2" with tongue-in-cheek but the ironic thing is that there really is a good reason to watch it immediately before since there's the continuation of one particular scene

“They even censored it.” I haven’t seen an episode that appears anymore censored than any other. The only blinks/beeps are over what Stollas says and they’ve only ever done that for that for him and have done it since the pilot, probably because it’s really funny.

When this episode aired, I was losing my mind with all the excitement and breathless story behind each moment of Blitz and Stolas relationship. It shows so much on their character changes. 😲 I can’t wait for the next episode to happen and it might show a growth for a certain “Hound” growth with her journey.

This is just shows how toxic Stella was, like we see some hints earlier on. Honestly I am so glad we get to see a bit of stolas's past

As revealed in the end credits, Stolas' father is Paimon. Unlike in the show, he is usually depicted as a man riding a camel. While different works credit him with different titles, in the Ars Goetia (the demenology from real life which forms the basis for a lot the high ranking demons in this show), he is one of the nine kings of hell, the same rank Asmodeus holds, too. Though since he does not represent any of the 7 Deadly Sins, I think it's likely that, while being a high ranking demon, he is not on the same level as Asmodeus in this show, as well (though that's just a theory for now). He is usually portrayed as being highly knowledgeable about the world. In some versions, he can even see the past and the future. Lastly, he is said to be quite loyal towards Lucifer.

Fizzarolli and blitzo used to be friends still makes me happy and sad like mixed feelings THEY'RE ADORABLE!! Also notice how the green horse doesn't have any limbs and fizzarolli has no limbs when he's older, but Blitz has all his limbs like the red horse. Think about it theory time

I love how things come full circle for stolas. He clearly is fed up with the abuse from Stella and remembers his place among goetia. From the reaction as he shrinks back at first then catches her wrist she has tried it before.

Fun fact: Stolas's father and Blitzø's father is played by man who plays Jafar from the animated Disney movie Aladdin! Love the range! You can hear it in his voice a lot of the time in Stolas's father and I love it so much!

I feel so bad abt the fact that the entire relationship of Blitzo and Stolas as well as how they view each other was setup by their terrible fathers despite the fact that Blitzo and Stolas spent their entire lives trying to change the fate that their fathers brought onto them. I mean, the genuine care and desire for companionship, viewing each other as an opportunity/someone a bit less then u, being unable to fully see the other's perspective - it's all there in their very 1st interaction. As well as them trying to change that narrative and failing. It's almost like the 2 shitty fathers in their lives got replaced by their own thoughts and society overall. It's just so tragic. Also, Stella is an abusive b*tch.

When Stolas explains Blitzø's "broken horse joke", Paimon's reaction makes me automatically hear Piccolo from DBZAbridged: "Neeeeerd!"

I think this was also done because of all the people who felt bad for Stella (Stolas’s wife) with Stolas cheating on her. This just made everyone realize she was horrible to Stolas and had been for at least 17 years

This episode also shows why stolas was cursing naughty things to him in the early episodes, he thought it was what turned him on

There’s a theory that Fizzaroli (the character on the right and 6:05) and Blitzo are represented by the two balloon animals, with Fizz being represented by the green “worm horse”. Even though this scene comes off as filler, it’s important to recognize that this Fizzaroli is the SAME jester like character that appeared in the last episode at Ozzie’s sex club. However, you might remember that Fizzaroli had mechanical limbs that could extend, allowing him to slink around the club, whilst making mechanical sounds, and having a filter over his voice like he was a robot, all things that he doesn’t have in this flashback. The theory is that at some point in the 25 years since the flashback, Fizzaroli got into an accident in the circus, and was so grievously wounded, that he needed amputations as depicted by the green “worm horse,” and as a result the only way to save him was to turn him into a cyborg. That’s why he’s so robotic, twisted, and cynical in present day, but why in the past he was shown to have a great friendship with Blitzo when they were kids. Like many youth, he was pushed in his acting career, until it quite literally broke him just to earn a name for himself. My best guess is that Blitzo paid someone to try and ruin one of Fizzaroli’s performances out of jealousy of his success, but he got in the aforementioned accident, which is why the latter holds so much disdain for Blitzo in present day. This is all just a theory right now, but I think it holds a lot of weight! It is kinda bittersweet tho. 😕

I would like to point out that the palace belongs to STOLAS. Stella saying "You can come if you want" just displays her total entitlement and audacity. The palace belongs to her husband not only did she NOT inform him of the party ahead of time, she basically invited him as an after thought. Also, pretty sure Stolas is gay, so him not being "Good in bed" with Stella is pretty obviously explained. she is just a witch and it is heavily implied in this episode that she is abusive towards Stolas.

Asmodeus Crystals in the book Stolas was reading has been connected with Stolas wanting to create and artifact for Blitz so he can go to the human realm freely. So, Blitz is free from him and if he comes back it´s for the right reasons.. Still a weird powerdynamic but it is a cute thought. Concerning the missing part 2 finale from last season. I thought that they maybe had a character from Hazbin who was supposed to do a cameo but they couldn´t because whatever station now owns the series......its wild. I want the whole universe working together and crossing over.

One little detail that i don't think many people notice is how Stolas' emotional journey can be seen through the portraits when walking with Blitz. The ONLY portrait where he seems genuinely happy, is the one with Octavia. It's technically something we get told during the entire episode, but it serves to highlight that he really means it when he says that Octavia is the one good thing that has come out of his marriage, but he also tries to dismiss all his misery when being with her. In any other portrait, whether by himself, or with Stella, you just see a cold if not miserable person.

You wanna know something very cute yet in context of this show depressing? Owls only love once. They mate for life. Even if Stolas wanted to try he would never get over Blitzy

Horses and cattle actually do get a disease called laminitis in their feet, wich in worst cases will cause so much pain the animal can't walk. The cause is a bit debated but there seems to be a hightened risk of poor diet and links to insulin. So yeah, eating to much sugar can cause laminitis in a horse 😅

I knew these guys would come around to Stolas. This episode both bresksmy heart with his backstory and the toxic relationship he has with Stella. I really hope that Blitz and Stolas can work things out and if not that Stolas finds someone who loves him for who he is cuz damn it, he deserves it!

The thing most people miss is how Stolas only went with what he thought Blitz wanted. Because Blitz pretended that first night that he wanted sex, that he wanted a dom/sub scene, that he "wanted" Stolas, that was the cue Stolas took for the rest of their contractual relationship. He probably assumed that if he gave Blitz the things he wanted, he would finally be "enough". Which is sad but understandable after the years of abuse Stella put him through.

This kind of clichè was a cruel lie to me as a child... the fact that shows told the audience that to stand up to yourself just worked. That you just needed to speak up and being convinted/convincing enough. Like, the opponent/abuser/misguided parent/whatever always listened in the end and accepted to cannot subdued the MC or had a change of heart because they stand to themselves. In the reality, it isn't really so easy.
