The moment Lev’s spike got animated is the moment manga readers screamed 😅 I’m still so impressed how much the animators took care to make his spike distinctly whip-like as described in the manga. Before the OVA, there was a fair amount of concern among manga fans about how it would look animated, but Production IG got our backs 😊 Lev’s whip-spike looked every bit as glorious as I imagined. Also, the outro song at the end of this video. THAT SEASON 2 HYPE 🔥

In case you don’t know- Karasuno’ s “Karasu” means crows in Japanese so they use crows (or ravens...whatever) to represent Karasuno. Nekoma’s “Neko” means cats in Japanese so they use cats to represent Nekoma. This is kind of late but you must see this! This is really important! Please look at this comment!

Oh come on... Rhop please don't show them OVAs anymore. Just because this OVA is before season 2 in the timeline doesn't mean it's supposed to be watched before, that's dumb. Also, watching this OVA really lightens a tense moment in the season 2, which is really annoying as I wanted them to react and speculate on it blind. (SPOILERS FOR SEASON 2) The first time we see Lev, we see his ridiculously high spike. He is intimidating, and it's a huge surprise that Nekoma suddenly pulled a powerful wildcard like that. It adds to the tension and pretty much compeletly reintroduces Nekoma. Them seeing this OVA before that just makes that moment lose all meaning.
