I love the small, running jokes this show has. The obvious one is everyone screaming "aita" in pain, but there's also things like the namahage(some mythological japanese being) being the topic in every class this episode, including math.

@@corndoghead1 The worst version of hell. Anybody claiming they'd want it has a lot of pondering to do. You'd become completely and utterly desensitized and ultimately end up suicidal no matter who you are. Would turn into the infinite downward spiral of white padded rooms, growing exponentially harder over time. A trillion years or so in you'd be either an immovable monk or satan himself. Hell by that time someone'd probably have developed a technology that lets them input themselves into a simulation that withholds their knowledge of base reality and allows them to experience lives of impermanence like this one.

That opening kung fu scene, the weapon used was a miniature Wing-cheun wooden dummy, a training tool for kung-fu artists. Take note of these dummies, because the punchline to this is coming.

I like how when they went back to the opening scene they noticed the small detail of the guy in the "Rock" shirt being in the background for like 2 seconds when they've only gotten a quick look of him in the ED, but didn't realize the thing the girl is fighting with very obviously has Hina's hair style.

That Terminator reference is good, but what really makes it is the yellow steam IMO :D Also, the fighting scene at the start is almost definitely a Bruce Lee reference (or possibly, the girl was a fan of his movies). That wooden doll is a miniaturized cartoon version of the training dummy used in Wing Chun, which Bruce Lee is famous for, it's his base martial art before he came up with Jeet Kun Do. Those cool fighting sounds are also what he commonly does in his movies.

In all fairness, it kinda makes sense Nitta wouldn't call the cops, 'cause you know... he's Yakuza. If the only reason you aren't in prison is because they can't pin anything on you, maybe don't tell the cops about the naked lost child in your apartment.

This show was my anime of the year in 2018 It will catch you off guard by making you laugh till your stomach hurts, then hits you with feels and suddenly you're crying. Its SO good!

One thing, that I think I got right, is when he takes her out to 'high class sushi', its actually kaitenzushi. Which I'm pretty sure is fairly cheap as far as sushi goes. Whereas after she helps him with the yakuza, I'm pretty sure he takes her to a really nice place. idk, correct me if I'm wrong.

Nitta is probably a kaikei, right? Yakuza accountant, rather than being in the traditional kyodai/shatei hierarchy. Although he can boss around that blond kid, so maybe he's a kyodai underboss after all.
