Sotanghon Ampalaya at Hipon
One of our favorite soup dish - Vermicelli (sotanghon) with Bitter Melon (Ampalaya) and Shrimp (Hipon). So easy to prepare with the easy to source ingredients:
200 grams vermicelli sotanghon
1 bitter melon
7 pcs shrimp (medium size) chopped and skinned
1 chicken cube
6 cloves of garlic
1 ginger
1 onion
pinch of black pepper
around 1 teaspoonful of salt
around 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
1 liter of water
Additional notes:
1. Ibabad ang ampalaya sa tubig
2. Huwag iover cook ang ampalaya (ipaibabaw at ihuli itong ilagay - mga 5 minuto lang luto na ito)
3. Huwag haluin kapag nailagay na ang ampalaya (para hindi pumakla ang sabaw)
Itry nyo ito siguradong magugustuhan nyo lalo na kapag malamig ang panahon o tag ulan!
