Great instructions, thanks. I didn't even add salt, and I needed a little longer but I might have put a bit extra water in, but it was delicious, fluffy rice! I want to cook in the stainless steel pot rather than in the nasty non-stick surface of a rice cooker.

Liking this video based off one minute detail that I’m SURE is the reason my rice never cooked: He said turn it low then SPECIFIED for the literal and overthinkers that this would be just enough to “lightly simmer”. I’ve been turning my rice down to the lowest setting then wondering why it doesn’t cook 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣 I half realized this, while watching my rice cooker go to work (it steams the rice at a definite simmer for about 14 minutes). Great video 👍🏾

I'm not a guy who is usually incapable of things. I'm usually very good at learning, and I'm very curious. So WHY am I terrified of cooking? I'll never know. I followed all these steps to a T but there was still quite a bit of water after 22 minutes - I kept it on a low boil all the time with the lid on. My past experiences have told me 17 is a VERY low number so you might want to crank that up to 25+.
