Yep. It's nostalgia, I FUCKING LOVE SC:3 and in my opinion it's (despite it's flaws) the best in the series.

SCIII has its own little charm to it, particularly the bridge where the percussion mutes. That aside, when I think of Soul Calibur music in any capacity, it's History Unfolds. The inherent valiance and heroism of the theme pumps you up to play, makes any character choice impactful, and that ethereal chorus and string ensemble at the end of the loop settles every theme debate singularly.

V & VI are my favorites, easily. Lots of nostalgia for IV's theme though, takes me right back! I'm pretty sure III was me & my dad's first Soulcalibur, but most of my memories are by far with the fourth one. We've both loved it ever since, such a good series.

It sounds like in Soul Calibur 5; they understood the direction they wanted to go but it was poorly executed. I've listened to Soul Calibur 6's character select music over and over and; I think they understand where they want to go and I think they just got there. I have a feeling this game is going to be great🤘🤘🤘

Damn, Soul Calibur 2’s takes me back to my childhood. My cousins and I surrounding the gamecube hearing either Maxi going “WAAAA CHA” or Nightmare going “BEE GONNEE”. The theme itself is sooo epic. It makes all the characters seem so powerful and legendary with this music playing in the background.

My first soul calibur was II, then I played IV a lot but sucked at games, I played V literally everyday for hours with my brother.. but I just played VI for the first time recently and that game instantly flew up to top favorite

Great themes! Shoutout to Soulcalibur Broken Destiny for its great character select theme (and main menu theme which was amazing). VI was terrific and hyped me up for its release!

idk why maybe its that magic you have when you are a kid, but I was born in 1996 and played games since ever, my mom bought me a N64 even before having me... and then, this magical games, worlds, histories, all this game me so much fun and imagination. I wish I still had this feeling today of hearing those songs and going to another place rich of imagination and dreams. Last game I had this was Halo 3 or Castlevania Lord of Shadow 1. I also used to have this with movies, in special, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Matrix. I know everyone loves its awn chillhood but I think I was a kid in the best time ever. =))))))

Soul Calibur 6 is a Amazing game but with him Soul Calibur franchise died for me by the fact they said SC6 is Reboot of SC1 Events and byhond that. This means SC2 to SC5 never existed also SC1 story changed a little as well, so it's like a New Franchise. Good job Namco SC6 is Amazing game but also the Destroyer of SC Franchise 😢☠😒

SCV is the only one that is currently 100% confirmed to be noncanon at the moment. Though, future events are referenced in SCVI.

I don't have nostalgia for any of these, so I'm gonna say 5 and 6 are objectively superior in all ways. 3 gets an honorable mention. All of them at _least_ pass as decent, but 5 and 6 just stomp the others out without even trying.
