Namco's going through the SCIII/IV roster little by little so I'm confident we'll get Setsuka in this season. No love yet for SCV but perhaps they'll add some of the new faces from that in a future season (my mate wants to play as Viola so it'd be nice to see her again at least).

I'd be surprised if you have to wait that long. Evo Japan 2020 would be an ideal place to announce a release date. I expect the characters will start rolling out in February tbh. I'm looking forward to seeing how they've realised Haohmaru (add long as he cleanses his katana with sake at the start of the round and does the sword throw/catch in the sheath victory pose I'll be happy with that).

Mr.Wolfchamp 1999 yeah, if games tie their new character releases and announcements to the competitive scene you’ll usually get those announcements at the end of the tournament which can sometimes go late into the night. Soul Calibur Tournaments get low entry numbers and most tournaments can have SC6 done in two days, Friday and late Saturday. While bigger games run super early and go super late for 3 days. It’s 1:40am and Street Fighter is still running pools to get to the top 32 by tomorrow’s final.

Same on their Marvel Super Heroes Arcade Cabinet and also the Mortal Kombat Arcade Cabinet which includes MK1/MK2/MK3! It is strongly possible that if they collaborate with Namco on a SoulCalibur Arcade Cabinet they'll include: SoulCalibur SoulCalibur II SoulCalibur III: Arcade Edition Because that's the ONLY soulcalibur games to ever been released on arcade! (SCIV/SCV/SCVI doesn't have arcade versions). So we just need to keep asking: Post on their Twitter, Facebook, E-Mail, KZfaq etc' if it's really important to you as it is for me and you are willing to buy and own it! =) SCIII:AE Gameplay-Wise is very balanced and right (not like the console release!). They can even include SoulEdge (SoulBlade) Arcade ver. Because there are Arcade1UP Cabinets with more than 3 games!

@@Devaizter I'd hate to be the negative one, but you know all of those games are way easier to emulate than 3d fighters. I'm sure the cabinet would need serious processing power. Would probably cost as much or more than an actual Soul Calibur arcade cabinet. That being said, if they did pull it off, It'd be cool if they had a region toggle for Soul Calibur so you could choose Mitsurugi or Arthur.

Like the only thing they seem to know as a point to reference too anymore is this Fate stuff and maybe Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Give a character a spear and it's just "Lancer" too now I've noticed and any time there's a sword spam thing it must specifically be referencing Unlimited Blade Works. Character does a wacky pose and it's specifically a Jojo reference every time. Never mind that all of these franchise largely borrow from the same pool of design and historical reference tropes and aren't really the origin of anything. People really need to experience more stuff and read more than just their twitter feeds I dunno....

@@2556568 Well not sure if they are gonna appear in this Soul Calibur since it is a reboot with 2 new characters Grøh and Azwel, Zwei was a new character in the 5th one and a complete mystery, Algol is unsure since he was mentioned few times with his title "Hero King" and by following side quests it says he will soon awake, Yet there wasn't much any cameos about him so he'll probably show up in Soul Calibur 7, As for Yun-Seong there is a possibility.

@@Scyclo True, And on her story it was actually cool to see a malfested version of herself and the first honorable mention of Pyrrha when they said about the prophecy of a cursed child who shall become the new wielder of Soul Edge, Yet i keep wondering what will Grøh's role will be since he is half-malfested and what he'll do if he ever encounters Siegfried, I mean when he was once Nightmare, Everybody immediately knew he was once Nightmare, Especially his role to over Pyrrha, Whatever happens to his fate in the other story's sequel i personally think where you free him from his malfestation where he eventually learned to master his powers on the side quests and decides to create new more techniques is 100% canon while the bad ending where he dies is not canon.
