"This song took a long time and almost didn't make the record. We recorded it as an instrumental and ran out of time in the studio. We ended up having to fly Josh Wilbur (producer) out to my house to finish the vocals. He kept on telling me he wanted more of that 'tribal sh*t' like some of the stuff on our first record and 'Primitive'. We ended up creating the chorus on the spot and layering something like 12 or 16 tracks of chanting for it. After we heard it and were listening back, we got really excited and were high-fiving each other. Josh just turned to me and said that was what he wanted to hear as a fan, and he was really happy to get that out of me. We both knew it was a new SOULFLY classic for the ages and had to be the album opener. I'm really proud of this song and I think old-school fans of my work are going to love it."

Soulfly is always heavy and this is heavy shit too, of course. Always worth to listen to. Hm... Max always shouts very intensive and to me it's even understated, when i listen to this. He is surely one of those, who are be able to shout down a wall. :D If shouting could bring attacking soldiers back home, and defending soldiers back to sleep safely, then Max would have earned a " nobel peace prize", for sure. :D Thumb up for Soulfly

So Soulfly delivers a song that is uniquely Max & company, which sonically sets them apart from all other metal bands. Nobody can sound like this. To me it's perfect, next level, heavy as fuck, groovy, powerful, tribal and its the old school Soulfly/Sepultura that we haven't heard in a long time. This is EXACTLY what we've been waiting for. I think oldschool SoulFLY is BACK!!!!! I hope the new album will return us in the 2000s, because after 2005 there were not very good albums, and experiments with groove metal I did not like. Thank you, Max!

Soulflys best record is dark ages imo. They did good stuff with conquer and omen but since then it has been very meh stuff and CC has been nr 1. But this stuff sounds promising

HP Films I admit that Rise of the Fallen is a good track, maybe Jeffrey Dahmer and Off With Their Heads, but still the weakest album if you compare to the rest of their albums, that album just felt less Soulfly that I remember. But anyway, I’m really looking forward to hear the new Soulfly..

Initially I was like, oh no not another Soulfly album and a song, however listening to it it floored me. Max cavalera does have a unique musical style that blends death metal Bob Marley and rastafarianism with tribal elements. Nobody Does it like he does. Often imitated but never duplicated
