last album I bought from this band was Soulfly 3 and I kinda checked out of music years following that. This album is friggin amazing. Max has been absolutely killing it for so many decades!!!!

The last of the old guard thrash metal gods. I can't find anything new, as good. Some bands from Brazile and Hungary are close but nothing to this level. Drums, prose, riffs, singer... all first class and "adult" in composition. Great for kickboxing the heavy bag.

Killer album, can see many Brazilian references on Ritual as with Sepultura's Roots legendary album back in the 90's. Max Cavallera always bringing about the Brazilian indigenous/black influences in his songs, making sure to include killer riffs and lyrics also obviously, which I love! Always nice to return to its "roots". Great collab with Randy from LOG btw 😁😎🤘

as an old sepultura fan (got beneath the remains on cassette, 1989 ish) i never really dug the 'nu metal' groove of soulfly. im kinda digging it more, nowadays. morbid visions, arise, still have a place in my heart

Absolutely not. ''Under Rapture or Dead Behind the Eyes'' are better composed and aggressiver! Blood on the Street=another good example.
