My sincere condolences on your loss. Myself having lost both parents within a 2 year span, I understand the difficulties. For me, Barely recovering from the loss of one parent and then having to go through it again so soon after was heart wrenching. But, Time, happy memories, love and support of family and friends helps to give us strength.

Thank you for your very insightful comments. I'm 66 and I have never heard anyone like him in my life. I love his independence from any one genre. I think that is one of the things that make him unique and so very special. I really enjoyed your reaction.

Yes, he is getting better. He reached new low notes in this performance, while maintaining his incredible high register perfectly, and held a power note for 20 seconds. The vocal acrobatics just never end. Lucky us.

Kobyz is an ancient tool of the peoples who lived in the East, including nomads. It was used in ancient times by steppe shamans-healers for various rites. Kobyzy is made from a single piece of wood. This is one of the oldest ways of making musical instruments in the history of mankind. It is not due to technical backwardness or the lack of metal devices. According to the ancient beliefs of many peoples, only in a single piece will the living singing soul of the tree remain, which will sound in the instrument. The open body and strings of the kobyz from a bunch of 30-60 untwisted horse hair give a very thick, overtone-rich timbre.

So sorry to hear about your Dad. My Dad died 22 years ago and I still think about him everyday and think, "If Dad was here he would know the answer, or how to fix it". We have missed you and love your reaction to Dimash. I remember watching your first Dimash reaction and how blown away you were. I sometimes rewatch it to see the looks on your face. They were priceless.

Пытался петь я. Послушав Димаша, бросил. Я неардельталец по сравнению с ним. Вообще не представляю, кто ещё так сможет. Это уникум, индиго казахстанский, а может и марсианский

You would feel the cleansing of the soul by listening to Dimash's (new song by Igor Krutoy for Dimash) Ave Maria that he sang at the closing of the New Wave competition. This is a song that brings you close to the heavens. I am 72 yrs old and this is the song by Dimash that I would like to hear on my last day on earth.
