Wow! I’m an old retired guy who decided to get a guitar and give it a go. Been noodling around a bit trying to learn the basic cowboy chords and get my fingers to move between them quickly and accurately enough to enjoy playing a couple tunes for myself. It’s been pretty tough getting these old digits in the right places with this old foggy brain controlling them. It’s been bout 12 months now of very slow progress. But you really made my day with this video. I think I’m finally starting to get something going thanks to you! Thanks so much!👍👍👍

Awesome lesson -- a bunch of good instructors on KZfaq tend to add in stuff and they forget new learners don't know what they are doing (you explain all) -- I am a late learner (54+) and this hobby is so fun -- I struggle but still enjoy the journey. Keep Doing these great videos!!!! My only regret is not playing instruments earlier in life

I'll Never forget when Lynyrd Skynyrd played at the Orange Park High School for Prom night. I lived just a few streets down from Brickyard Road in Orange Park. They were legends here with Tom Pety in Gainsville.

I have played the Guitar since I was 5 years old. We were very poor and my main enjoyment was playing. Your instruction is excellent, thank you 😊. I have played this a million times ( I'm 57) but that doesn't mean much. If you don't re-visit your chops, yer bound to fail. Love from Nashville 👍

Thank you for this. It sounded better to me if in the first couple verses to pick. Then when i get to the chorus to strum. It changed it up and gave it a little life.

I play this song on a electrical acoustic 12 string, what your teaching might be good for a beginner. But your missing cords and your strumming pattern's are not right.
