What a terrific song for you to cover by Simon and Garfunkel. Singing this song gives you the opportunity to show us the tenderness in your captivating voice! 😊 The song starts with a nice visual presentation of you in a beautiful dress and playing a tender piano introduction on your Steinway & Sons grand piano! 🎹 Your playing is elegant; precise and it's lovely! The stereo recording of the piano is top notch also! 👍 Soon after the song starts is a nice close up at 0:20, as you sing: ♫ "Because a vision softly creeping"♪. Then following with; ♫ "Left its seeds while I was sleeping"♪. Your singing is pure beauty! The vibrato in your voice is so well controlled. Throughout the whole song you execute the texture and control in your vocals so professionally! 🎤 Bravo! At 0:40; you finish the first verse tenderly with: ♫ "Within the sound of silence"♪. In the second verse 0:49; ♫ "Narrow streets of cobblestone"♪, is such beautiful perfection in your singing! Then I'm left speechless, as I listen to the rest of the verse! Emily; did I ever tell you, that you have golden vocals?! Your voice is so irresistible! It's gorgeous and we're only part-way into the song! 😲 Just to pause for a moment and comment on the technics of the audio: The recording of the vocals is nice and crisp. (though around 6k is quite prevalent). I like how the recording is nice and dry with no effects which gives a "closeness" sound to the listener. Though in saying this, as an experiment, I had a listen to your vocals with reverb added. It was surprising how awesome your voice was and how it changed the mood of the song considerably to a kind of "distant atmospheric feeling" for the Sound Of Silence! 🌼🌷🌱 Technically it was an interesting observation; however I'm still so glad your Mum Christine, records you with a dry mix! (just a bit of fun audio talk there!) 🔊 🎧 Now back at 1:18 with a nice video edit, you play some delicate piano.🎹 From about this point at 1:24; ♫ " And in the naked light I saw, ten thousand people maybe more"♪; you seem to become a bit more animated as you're getting into the song! 👩‍ 🎤 In fact the whole third verse is sensational singing! Wow! The vocal line at 1:43 with: ♫ "People writing songs that voices never share"♪; is quite exceptional indeed!❗️ Getting back for a moment to 1:24, we know that this is _'live'_ with just you and the piano; but just imagine at 1:24 with: ♫ "And in the naked light I saw"♪, at that point the introduction of strings and harmonies! It would be magic if you were doing a soundtrack recording! (or you had the opportunity to do this with Sina & co would have been awesome!) 😃 With this Simon & Garfunkel song, I'm so used to hearing the original version with harmonies; that I thought perhaps one day, you could sing along to an overdub backing track! (though I'm not sure if you like that idea?) Now at 1:58 there's a little piano break; then at 2:03 "wow!" with that chord you hit; as the song goes up a tone. (I like the way you did your little piano arrangement here to achieve this!). That change of chord strikes the listener to sit up and listen! Now singing in a higher key, you still managed to sing the line at 2:23 ♫ "But my words like silent raindrops fell"♪, effectively and pure, without the need to use head-notes (or falsetto). I really like it when you use dramatics like this and take the opportunity to use some dynamics as you did. Actually I'd love to hear you cover a song that has plenty of dynamics; as I don't think you realize how good you are! 👍 The voice you have at your age is quite staggering, that it even surpasses many commercial singers!!! When you are Blessed with a gift; you know you have it! 💕 As you now move into the fifth verse (2:40); you can feel the "lift" you put into the song with: ♫ "And the people bowed and prayed"♪. As said before; how awesome to hear your performance here to a soundtrack! It would be mind-blowing! The massive emotional movement of sound could be incredible. I could just envisage another collaboration video! However, to pull off what you are doing here live with just you and the piano, is really showing off just how gifted and talented you are! Plus your voice is addictive! This song was a "walk in the park" with your vocal range! You made it look so easy! 😎 _In conclusion..._ There's superb singing at the end of the song; with some nice dynamics at 2:59 with; ♫ "And the sign said the words of the prophets are written on the subway walls"♪; (which incidentally sounds awesome with reverb). Plus following there's a georgous line at 3:09 with: ♫ "And whispered in the sound"♪, with the emphasis on the way you sing "sound" so tenderly, is so beautiful and tranquil. 😊 Such adorable singing! Then we get a nice little smile at 3:27 as you finish! Just as a point of interest, it would be great to see a couple more camera close-ups like at 0:20 in your videos; as you present visually very pleasantly and we get to see the emotional expressions you put into your playing! So dear Emily; you've done another *Sensational Stunning Performance!* There's no area of weakness in this wonderful cover! You just keep getting better and continually excel, with your remarkable talent as an artist and a performer! I've listened to this several times , but this time I noticed something so beautiful and subtle on your voice that I had missed before. There is a slight but ever so present vibrato in your voice that makes it much more appealing.
