3 minutes in and I honestly see more love and dedication going into this van than zuckerburg and exo put together, I’m a fan of both of them, but I can tell this van has more thought and care. The choice of sound deadening material is not what I would choose... but it’s obvious this van has more heart going into it. It may take longer... but I’m in to appreciate both the building and the finished product, whatever it may be.

Definitely SQ clean crisp sounds and still have a little SPL he'd care less about being louder he likes to do all that RTA fixing EQ curves knowing all the parameters he knows his stuff hence the name soundman.

I think you can take more pride in your build compared to EXO now tho. He is having his built for him. SMD is just updating his from 90’s electrical to 2020 electrical. The other I have no clue about. He seems like he builds smaller stuff like 2 10’s or 12’s. I don’t kno. All that matters is that you all share the love of loud bass no matter how fast or slow it’s done it’s the final outcome and sound that matters most. We shall see EXO can dedicate all his time to his build also. Sound man has a business and a family to worry about plus build the van. Im digging Soundmans. Wish I knew what size and how many subs he was going to use tho 🤔

Expanding spray foam is urethane, right, super great glue. Spray that stuff between the sheet metal and the plywood, hold in place with the screws you’re using already and wait to allow the adhesive to cure. Follow the same procedure for as many layers you want. You now have a virtual, one piece construction. Zero voids, zero cavities to resonate and a bond that covers every square inch of plywood.👍

CAF has the most cleanest builds and he shares his knowledge. He is all about quality work and sound . EXO builds is also clean but much stronger and that caging and all he is doing is going to help that van get the best spl . This build is a nice build but not as strong as EXO’s own. Great work tho 💯it’s a start would like to see when it’s finished completely

Rafa's mom's caravan with 12 Sparkomatic 6x9's is louder then that heap. I vote you do 32 12's in an octagon shaped box. Something good with a rubber surround, like the JL W6v3 or the Focal 12's. Don't forget, if you really want to get technical, you will need 1 alternator for each Amplifier. You have till February 14, 2021 to complete this task, Good Luck.

steve meade - laser cuts acrylic and completely rewires the tahoe, installes new batteries, upgrades alternators, and switches out to electric fans. EXO - refurbishes over a dozen 18" subs, builds steel cage, guts bass van, installs cage. soundman - spends a year on door panels, and sticks some stuff to the walls. yeah. steve done kicked everybody's ass. :P

No.. exo has others doing most of his build, Steve Meade who runs a business with employees so he has time to do those things, and is one of the coldest in the game so no shade thrown. Doug on the other hand is rolling solo on everything, he contacts out nothing and has a family so..

My prediction: EXO gets SPL, soundman best SQ. Neither of which will be completed before the Fab kitchen builds a tiny box that is useless. Steve Mead is basically done except for some flair so he's not in the running. and his will probably be the the lowest SPL system of them all (excluding Fab kitchen) but still pretty sweet.

I just finished installing sound deadening material in my F150. It was a pain in the ass😂 I did kilmat 80mil with some noico closed cell foam. I did 150 mil for most of it and 315 for the area around my exhaust, I installed an exhaust and it had too much drone. Im about to do a pioneer double din in a month or two when I get my tax return.

Nvx looks like some good deadener. I used noico 80mill in my truck. I’ve only got like 30sq ft. So nothing extreme just roof. Back of cab and a strip in each front door

Youre going to win purely on personality. Also have you thought about drilling some holes in the first layer and spraying some foam in between the woo and the skin of the van? Also not sure about that glue you want something that wont dry hard. I would use vulcum siding caulk. That shit is the stickiest shit

But hey, maybe you should team up with Zuckerberg since exo has 2 fat guys? He will put those panels on his router and trim them so tight around those fender wells that you couldn't pass a fart between them.
