Soundtoys SuperPlate: Abbey Road Reverb Trick

Tony shows a classic studio technique known as the Abbey Road reverb trick. While this approach certainly isn’t new, you’ll learn how to do it all within the SuperPlate plug-in using the built-in high and low cut filters, EQ bands, and input saturation to get a lush and professional-sounding reverb.

Super Plate is just that, super sounding. The auto decay is a very nice addition. And it's way cheaper than the EMT 140 I had seen for sale on Reverb for $7,000. Easier to fit in anybody's studio too.

This is odd. I have replicated these settings EXACTLY on a dry vocal just like this and the result is crazy washed out. To me, this sounds like you have the Wet/Dry at about 50%....but according to the video, you don't?

Soundtoys - The most microscopic plugins on the planet. They ought to be embarrassed. Get out your magnifying glasses or use a 720P monitor. They're a joke in todays plugin world because of it.
