I heard one of these really amazing songs on Fm 90.9, a Jazz station, coming home from work Wednesday night and when the DJ said their name, The Funkees, I just had to look them up and discover MORE!!! This full album will definitely ignite your sense of pride inside and these dope ass rhythms will open up your passion for discovering creativity that you have never heard... I wish I was in the studio when they recorded anything!!! -Rob Approved!!

Love it! ♥ Great compilation of this Eastern Nigerian troupe, whose live qualities were legendary. Not infrequently, they played all night long, seven days a week .. ♬💃. Later, "The Funkees" moved to London, where they quickly made a name for themselves with their performances ♫💃🎸♬💃♥ There they recorded two groundbreaking albums before splitting up in 1977. 🌻✌😎

Por curiosidad en el título, di play en la canción 7 de la lista... Acid Rock... "No way!" fue lo que me dije.. Yes Buey! Recibí por respuesta de estos sorprendentes músicos (ritmo, el solo de órgano, guitarra eléctrica)... No cesan las sorpresas: la canción siguiente (la 8) es también brutal... Para que más... Es una fusión brutal como pocas he escuchado

Sonzera!!, As grandes bandas africanas infuenciaram o rock nordestino dos anos 90 no Brasil como o movimento manguebit, o qual tinha como uma de suas inúmeras propostas a procura da musicalidade baseada no ritmo e não em harmonias e/ou melodias necessariamente, procurando mais do que apenas ritmos construções ritmicas extremamente avançadas e complexas. Nessa procura por ritmos não se limitavam apenas ao uso de percussão, mas todo e qualquer instrumento imaginável, como é o caso da guitarra e o baixo.

Wow, so good! I'd been resisting the algorithm cuz this kept popping up, but it happened to come on automatically after Fela... this is great! It's not like Afrobeat, reminds me of some Ethopian stuff from that era, but still has it's own unique character.

303 is definitely another song... But what is it? I keep rewinding to the beginning of 303 and I can hear the other song. It's almost exactly the same. The lead instruments are the melody of the lyrics in the other song. Can anyone help??

Mind boggling to me tho, that all these new age rappers, make millions off of these OG beats/sounds….not because they are really hipped to this music, it’s only because they are under some producer that’s probably from the era of time when the real funk originated. It will never be made again. Anywho, that’s my rant for the day. Salute to the artists and to you good people 🫡🫡
