This episode sealed anime of the year for me.. strictly bc you can watch this with absolutely no context for the show but the emotion is so raw you can still feel it. As an episode it had everything. Despair, Grief, Love, Friendship, Forgiveness, Acceptance, Redemption. This was like 25 minutes and it did all of it with beautiful art and sound design. Well done

@warlord8145 yeah thats fair. Tbh AOT has a claim just because it's an ending.. Bleach also had straight bangers with the fights.. Luffy had G5 which I think undersold narratively but was well animated. This season of jjk hasn't had a single episode without a great fight, and heavy emotional beats. 20 ep run is pretty spectacular. I can see a Cass for all of them but in terms of individual ep basis and efficiency of emotional resonance and fights per eps.. I don't think anything was as consistent or elevated its standing so much. I can live w AOT or OP. Both protagonists of those are just so well written.

No he didn't. That's like the 4th time I've seen this comment. He said that clapping his hands doesn't always mean he's gonna use his technique. He says it after faking Hanami out and it freaked out when nothing happened and yuji got a hit in. Hanami legit asks why didn't they switch when he clapped and he literally says just because I clapped doesn't mean I'm activating it
