There is a faction of evil zuma supporters who planned this... they planned all of this and made sure to exploit south africas already fragile state and after a global pandemic. They played everyone...

@pauld.b7129 2 жыл бұрын
@@Violet._.PhoeniX still though. Decent citizens will defend their community, not look for an opportunity to loot it. Look no further than the riots in the US to see examples. Decent Americans were out defending businesses, while short sighted idiots tried to burn their community down. At least in America, theres always another store and plentiful food supply. Over there, this has much deeper consequences. Meaning people should be thinking even more of how it will effect them. But most of these people have little concept of how the systems works. They just think they're entitled to more, they just don't understand that if they want more, they have to BE more.

@@pauld.b7129 that is not true... you get the looters that instigated these acts -- knowing full well that people in south Africa just experienced a traumatic global pandemic --- and then u get the average citizen -- living where fear abounded, people lost jobs there was already food insecurity --- if you literally didnt have any food or money or a job and you saw the shops near your house being looted any person would think "hey tomorrow these shops wont be here i better grab food and medicine now or i wont eat tomorrow"!!! Those responsible manipulated and exploited the very fragile state that south africa has always been in but even more so after covid. This was no accident. You clearly don't have the same insecurities as most of these people so please get a grip. The vast majority of people fall into this group and the people who organized this knew that very well! They knew what would happen. People who have nothing and live in fear will act accordingly. That is WHY most people have started bringing stuff back -- because in the moment when there was panic everyone in this scenario just grabbed before there was nothing left.. Desperate people in a desperate situation. If any of these same people had a house a job a fridge full of food they wouldn't have looted and that i can guarantee you. In the US most people have all those things so durh the situation is NOT comparable AT ALL

@Chris Tofur They don't pay electricity. They use illegal connections. They cannot say they are hungry and steel TV's, paint, tools, clothes, washing machines and dishwashers and whatever they could steal. This was an insurrection within our country which did not work. The damage is vast but we will continue. The majority of South African are very much against what has happened and want all the instigators of the insurrection as well as all the looters brought to book and put in prison. First of all none of you are in her shoes. She build that business by herself!!! It took twelve years of her life!!! Listen don't look at the material aspect of the situation. Look at it from a mental state of what she is saying. 1. She's emotional disappointed. 2. She's mentally disappointed. 3. She's spiritually disappointed. She had high expectations in the black community!!! And they destroyed her spirit!!! Now China may come in and offer to help South Africa financially. But it's going to be on China's terms.

@@cocochanel2706 my theory is that any seemingly “dumpy” country comes from seeds planted there by catholic missionaries and greedy “businessmen” from ages ago until now. They spread their crap to “savages” and think they’re uncivilized but really the people there were fine without them. Small example: Before Catholics landed on the islands of Micronesia, the locals worked to get their food each day; men and women both it wasn’t a big deal to do the work whatever gender you are and both worked their asses off to provide. Then the Catholic missionaries came and taught that only the WOMEN should search and catch the food to bring it home. Men can chill n do nothing. I’m not even kidding lol They told the women to wear what’s called a “purse” which was a HUGE HEAVY basket to carry the fish and fruit in up the mountains and around the islands and to make it easier “prop it up on their head” 🙄 they did not do this until they came (the missionaries) and to this day this weird thing had turned into “cultural norm” to have the genders highly divided and women cannot even walk around men without getting on their knees and scooting passed! So weird.but it was never this way before they came and taught new rules. They never taught about God tho either only the Christian missionaries did 🤔 this is a very small example. Ppl think smaller, “poorer” countries are shitty but they weren’t always this way. In fact the people had everything they needed to live and survive abundantly (rich in many ways!) until money came. And making school something to PAY for?! Wtf lol don’t even get me started. They’re so crazy; who would follow Catholics?? Look what they did in Canada with the natives there! I’m not making this up. Anyways, money, greed, and nosy ass pretentious white ppl came and RUINED everything then got sick of the place and left. But whatever. Sorry if you read this it’s long and boring and doesn’t even make a difference lol I’m just getting heated reading racist comments above. K I’m done :)

It's comfortable, you don't have to take responsibility and you can keep benefiting from BEE to enrich yourself while others are starving.

@helenmokoena5357 2 жыл бұрын
@@VonBinde you are talking about the rich black people who make up only 1% out of millions of black who living in poverty. They are living in poverty because they were fucked by the apartheid/white government and they are still being fucked by the "democratic /black" government. Most white people are living a comfortable life compared to black people. Only a small fraction of whites live in poverty. The BEE was supposed to build a bridge between the poor and the rich so that we have more middle class than poor. It was just not well implemented and corruption took over. I don't know how are the whites victims when thd majority of them live comfortably.
@VonBinde
@VonBinde 2 жыл бұрын
@@helenmokoena5357 @Helen Mokoena I agree with you that the majority of whites do live more comfortably than the majority of blacks. I also agree with you (obviously) that Apartheid is the original setback, and that the new democratic government screwed up. Where I disagree is that 1% of blacks are well off and the rest are poor. Here's a quote from the ANC: "The black middle class more than doubled in size from 2.2 million in 1993 to 5.4 million in 2008" So by that account there are more middle class blacks in South Africa than there are white PEOPLE. Now in that light BEE doesn't make sense anymore, even if it did in 1994. Because by definition, BEE requires a white person to be denied an opportunity and a black person must receive it. So now there are more black people who are doing just fine than there are white people doing just fine. My last point is that soon no decision-makers from the Apartheid era will be alive - and then how can you assign blame and punishment to those who look like them but were not complicit?
