R.I.P Patrick..condolences to the family. Grieving is painful and those words spoken will hurt South Africans deeply. South Africans sometimes I think we are abit tok harsh on the next person. Where is that Ubuntu spirit and spirit of being one community. One did something wrong help them to recover..one is sad make them happy...one is suffering uift their lives. Let's be one country and one community.

Found her sweeping generalization of "everybody is a perpetrator in some kind of way" a little insulting and somehow justifying her husband's actions although towards the end I sort of understand her a little, it seems she was trying to protect her family from the harsh social media criticism of Bra Pat which is understandable, it's not easy being her right now. I do have a problem though with simplistic statements such as: "we are not perfect", "none of us are perfect" etc. The problem with such assertions especially in the context of abusive relationships is that they indirectly enable abuse by somehow making it sound like all crimes are equal since we are all flawed human beings, I disagree with this totally, we need to call out violent abuse for what it is and stop justifying such cruel behaviour. Yes I'm not perfect and neither are you but I will not rape a woman or child or fondle her without her consent, people who do that are not simply "imperfect" human beings, they are sick psychopaths who need help.
