I absolutely LOVE HER!! She expressed my feelings Exactly!!! Been trying to convince my husband to retire to S.A. We were in JoBurg last April and just got back from CapeTown last week. We’re coming back to stay for a month in October. I absolutely LOVE S.A. I love you alls story. By nook or crook we gonna be in S.A. I can’t wait.❤

I think people should visit Kenya as well. It is a lovely place just like South Africa. Mombasa has warm weather, and Nairobi has a bit of cold weather.

Like in every country where you are "an expat (for lack of a better word), you can use our public hospitals but you will pay higher tariffs than the locals. Even for the locals tariffs for hospital car are based on levels of income. Then there is Private Health care. It is expensive but even locals who can afford to pay monthly premiums can do so from their monthly salaries (with a certain percentage of the premium in some instances paid by the employer), or as an individual who might be self-sustaining, you can pay your own monthly premiums. If you don't have a Medical Aid, health-care can get very expensive. Hope my answer helps.

@MoAfrika. Public healthcare in SA is free. It's private health care that you pay for. Both are functional but with verying degrees of efficiencies. The reason why the public health system is not as efficient is because it accommodates 92 %of the population while only 8%of the population are on private healthcare. At its most basic level that is the difference however government can still do more to make the public healthcare system more efficient. The crucial intervention is that most of the government budget allocation goes towards healthcare and education.

@@luthovellem865 My wife has Sickle Cell disease and I would have to make sure she could receive adequate treatment but it's definitely a place I would be interested in visiting and possibly living there.

@@luthovellem865 Public Healthcare is free if you visit a Clinic - NOT FOR HOSPITALISATION OR TREATMENT AT A PUBLIC HOSPITAL. And treatment at a Clinic is limited, that's why you have nurses working there and a Medical Doctor who visits the clinic ONCE A WEEK AT MOST.
