I don't have Facebook, Twitter, or any social media accounts. So I had no idea of the hateful comments that Mina has endured on social media. I have always and continue to like Mina for the information she conveys and her personality.

I knew I loved Mina the first time I heard her! She was on a remote to the Mall of the America's and Dan found out she was afraid of heights, so he had her do an analysis (of what I can't remember) while on a zip line at the top of the Mall. I knew I was in love!

Mina's ESPN contract is up this year.. Whenever she resigns or signs elsewhere, she is going to get the 💰 & she deserves & has earned ever dollar. Like Dan (but as a viewer from a distance) I am also proud of her, her evolution & her newly found strengths & confidence 👏👏

Mina's trajectory is why I knew Jessica was eventually gonna be accepted. Believe it or not, there was a lot of hate for Mina in the beginning. The only thing you could pretend was a compliment were the amount of very lonely men who were kind enough to alert Mina that they'd totally do her. God bless her for weathering that storm and becoming our queen.

Dear Mina & Dan - sorry - I'm not gonna scroll down & read everyone else's comments - so if I'm not the 1st - just consider this reinforcement: As I'm sure your parents have already told you (if they haven't - more power to THEM), there IS indeed, ONE WAY, in which you can "repay" them for everything - and more. They're called grandchildren !!! I have 4 - they're WAY more fun than "you're own kids. Keep up the GREAT work - you're the best !!!😃

Whenever I watch Mina now you can tell her LeBetard roots helped shape her. As much as I would love to see her in the LAF network I think she deserves to be on the biggest possible platform. She’s that versatile and great at this.

Maybe Im out of line but I understand Minas point about the importance of men talking about issues that affect women. As a black man, I think it is important for white me to talk about race issues. I love when he brings on Jemele or Bomani to talk about certain issues but it's more powerful for the people that aren't directly affected to have their voices heard about these touchy subjects. Just my 2 cents. I love the realness and vulnerability of these convos!!

My point is simply I feel it is important to hear the voices of the majority (race, gender, sexual orientation, etc) on issue that affect the minority in order to bring about acceptance and change. I've never seen Mina so comfortable with Dan. I've also never seen Mina so radiant and beautiful. Mina had some great shows with Dan and the crew years ago. She needs to come back for a guest appearance as the witch on a King Roy segment!

Mina Kimes lack of consumption as far as sports journalism and media helped her in a lot of ways. Who knows, if she had, she might never have pivoted into sports journalism. Let’s face it, that business doesn’t have a history of people who look like her being seen. Knowing NOW that she comes from a business journalism background, it makes a lot of sense. Mina Kimes is such a SINGULAR voice in sports. For the way she looks, sure. And she’s breaking down barriers there. But her VOICE. There’s no one else on ESPN like her. And I suspect that the network KNOWS what they have in her. Sports media and sports journalism is getting better for women. They’re not just there for eye candy anymore (But I can think of a few that are STILL playing that game). Not Mina Kimes. Mina Kimes is one of the best analysts in the business today, man or woman.

Mina is a diamond in the rough that is ESPN. They've gotten rid of every reason I had to watch that channel. I listen to PTI and ATH as pods now. The only reason I watch outside of actual sports is Mina. Not only is she funny but she makes the more complex things easier to understand for a dummy like me. Cheers to her.

@Norris Robinson, then you didn't really understand what I was trying to convey. ESPN is in a difficult situation, while she, on the other hand, is an exceptional talent. They have let go of every aspect that made me want to watch that channel, except for the NBA and NHL playoffs. She surpasses the quality of what remains on that channel, and she is the sole reason I continue to watch.

Some part of me would enjoy if Mina was secretly doing investigative business journalism for ProPublica and just dropped a crazy bombshell of an article on us about the corruption at Nasdaq or massive fraud at Berkshire Hathaway. Maybe I just wish both of these two had enough spare time to write again, cause they were both extraordinary skilled writers. But I totally understand their description of the mental toll and physical exhaustion writing eventually extracts, so I’m glad they’ve both found a more enjoyable way to express their opinions. Also, thought Mina’s throwaway joke about Dan’s feet/flip-flops was hilarious. I kinda miss the super low-stakes of Highly Quarantined, cause it was casual in a really entertaining way.

Also, Mina talking about the contrast of Domonique Foxworth’s personality along with his relentless support of her career, made me think of this line from something I read recently; “Maybe the people who help us the most in life recognize a missing piece of themselves in us, something that has to be protected … or else they’ll never be whole again.”
