I have never come across anyone who doesn't love Mexican food... It's delicious and great. Now this restaurant has a wide variety of menus.. definitely worth checking out... I think California has the best Mexican restaurants. In NYC there also some nice ones. Great choices for consumers.. good upload.

I love Yucatan regional cuisine. I crave my local poc chuc at El Portal in Pasadena all the time because the marination of the pork is next level. I've never had it as part of a torta though. I'm glad you picked that as your favorite.

Tamal colado is made by cooking a corn masa dough that has plenty of lard (or any other fat or oil) before filling the tamales and steaming them. You end up with a tamal with a soft texture instead of the cake crumbly texture of regular tamales. It's similar to how the buttery French choux pastry is cooked in a pot before it's baked or fried

Turkeys have been eaten in Mexico for eons. Wild, of course.

Chichén Itzá has great food. Unfortunately the last time I was there (years ago) they were pretty rude. But I highly recommend their food.

I would say that Mercado that houses Chichen Itza Restaurant is USC and museums adjacent rather than South Central. I have been taking my daughters there day or night since the restaurant opened. Great food, friendly staff. They have their own parking lot. there are several other restaurants in the building. Try their habaneros salsa if you dare.
