Thanks! You might be able to see a freight at this spot (3rd/Carroll), although I have no idea what their schedule is. I have been told that the Port rail line (which leaves the main rail line at Quint Street and which crosses 3rd at Cargo Way) has mid-day action during the weekdays, but I haven't seen it. I have seen the "bumblebee" freight engines around the Cargo Way/Jennings Avenue intersection.

This is a great video. But a train hasn't been down that way in a long time. For many reasons we won't get into here

@@TrainTrackToby no they got the tracks blocked off and a bunch of other things down in that part of hunters point

@@TrainTrackToby I'm not even sure the cold storage is there anymore. I go through that area to get to hunters point naval Base to get hazmat dirt. And if anybody's guest last time a train went down any of those tracks in that general area. They have cleaned up all the homeless from the area,so while the tracks are clear they're still blocked just passed the intersection
