Returned to say hi to the lovely Mr. Rogge, but realized he passed away early this year. Thank you so much for all the precious clips and edits you left for the world. It has been an amazing 15 years' journey, catching glimpses of the past through your lenses, that says so much more than plain words. You shall always have a special place in my heart. All those big concrete barricades that could be dropped to slow down a North Korean invasion. North Korea has them, too. This brings back fond memories of when I was in South Korea in the '70's. The old people still understood Japanese from the occupation and although they probably didn't like it, that's the only way we could communicate, because many people didn't speak English.

In 1970 South Korea was one of the poorest countries in the world. Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia were much more developed than South Korea

Sadly Michael Rogge died on 26 January 2024. Also the Lumiere museum in Lyon is currently hunting down all KZfaqrs who use Lumière footage, handing out Copyright Strikes! Apparently these films are still copyrighted until 2039. Very sad!
