South Korea’s military is contemplating a ban on iPhones within military buildings due to mounting concerns about potential leaks of sensitive information through voice recordings. At the centre of this, is a military app that restricts the functions of a phone like camera and voice recordings. Apple's strict privacy controls prevent the app from restricting the iPhone's functions which has raised questions of a ban. Interestingly, while iPhones could be explicitly banned, Android-based devices manufactured by Samsung, are exempt from the ban. Also, restrictions on smart devices in secure facilities are standard practice, implementing a total ban is less common. Can Apple prevent this ban? Palki Sharma tells you.

In the US this quarter, it drops a share of 40% while samsung increases 20%. Apple innovation is declining too much. That expensive ipad is stucked with lcd for 3 years while samsung released an oled tablet since 2021. Ipad Can't be called a premium device

Korean military is learning from Ukraine-Russia War and doing what is necessary. Remember in the beginning so many Russian soldiers got killed by intercepted cellphone signals revealing their locations? And social media videos they posted also gave big hint about their location and got them killed. So Korean military now require soldiers to install the app to prevent any leaks either by an accident or on purpose, but Apple app store is not very cooperative. That's all.

See the experience may be different as most users dont know that iphone has all same fuctions that android has but it are little hard to understand like using macros and stuff. Initially i had taken 3 to 4 weeks of time to understand it now i am a complete iphone user beacause my work needs iphone only as android cant handle the stuffs ( Note- i am comparing iphone 11 with s23 ultra only i dont know about s24 as my collegue uses that android and now he has switched back to iphone ) that can be handeled by iphone more smoothly but i will say others to buy mid range android if he or she does not use phones frequently.

The security enforced in the iPhone is to protect the privacy of the owner and to prevent external agents from accessing private information on the phone. This is a good thing. They make it sound like apple iPhone is terrible. I mean Apple is terrible on their own way, but banning iPhone to not be used in your organization is your problem. Also why would i want the government or organization to temper with my device I pay for. If the organization provides that device to me, they can do whatever they want with it, but nobody install remote management software on my devices. Reason apple’s devices are the most secure devices available is because they don’t allow stupidity like this. If theres anyone that hates Apple the most is us that works on fixing their products as we have to deal with locked parts anti repair practices. It extremely bad for government to interfere with technology as they don’t understand anything. Just leave your phone at home before you go to service

For real,Apple is Cooked Iphones may not be allowed for Military in South Korea.They had to enable sideloading in EU countries.There is a anti trust case against them in USA.In China,People are starting to use Huawei Devices more than iphones.
