What ! Not even a single Mustang ? Shocking !

I went on a trip for my language class in high school and France was part of it. I've always wanted to go back and see it again, appreciate it more now that i'm older.

the vaulted stone ceiling in the cathedral was amazing architecturally. One thing I really miss about living in France is the open air markets.

I visited Marseille in the early 90's. The Mediterranean coast is beautiful. The architecture is stunning as well.

One of my favorite regions in France is the southwest coast on the Atlantic Ocean. Biarritz and Bayonne are particular favorites.

What blows my mind is that for much of my life I've heard of "the south of France" in a context that it was very warm like Florida, yet turns out it's about as far north of the Equator as Detroit and southern Michigan, but still considered to have "Mediterranean climate" and has palm trees! Yeah, uhh...the American flag outside a pizza place in France seemed odd. Maybe the owners are originally from the US? Love fresh/farmer's markets! ❤❤❤ "Speaking of Tarantulas," I loved Mustangs growing up. My favorite slot car was one. One of the two model cars I built was one. One of three hot wheels I have is a 'stang. Two of my friends' first cars were ponies. But alas, I never got one of my own. And while I appreciate the old originals I think if I was to get one today, it would be a new one. I was in the grocery check out line the other day and a lady in front of me had a French accent. I asked where she was from and she said Saint-Tropez. She winters here in Florida and goes back to the Riviera for summer.

I hope the natural beauty of the place isn't getting to spoiled by tourist - housing. A fine standing memorial to the sacrifice of brothers in arms between our nations , it couldn't be in a more heavenly spot. 🎺 🙏 It's always cool to stroll along the marina ⛵ wishing your get lucky , make a friend & be invited on board. Yummy 🍨 I'm guessing it's apricot. Up on the Mont , the views are marvellous , you really can see everything & wot a cute 🐕 St Etienne ⛪ certainly built to stand the test of time in all weathers made from volvic stone. You don't often see 🖼️ up on stone walls , the altar is splendid & I wonder if you can get permission to sit by & watch how the grand organs are played. The cathedral has five 🔔 with one in the bell tower for chiming the clock. Embracing you'll sense of adventure 🚴 around the beautiful countryside 🌾🏵️ I'm sure the doggie was sniffing away & having fun too. The Aquiducts were impressive , they must have been cutting edge at the time , I'm interested to find out more ( thanks for the link) There's nothing like the fresh aroma from a open market 🍋🍅🥬 so much more healthy than the processed stuff ,they sure had a lot of moules & 🦪 fish. The Carnival 🎉💃🐴 was wild with those costumes , a mix mash of everything even some vikings thrown in , ha ha the horsey bikes , the guys with the drums were sticking to the traditions. I can see why it's become such a popular resort , there's something interesting for everyone , I also found out what it's infamous for , I'm no prude but I'm glad you kept away from there & didn't receive a channel strike. For anyone wanting to take a holiday there , the pirate world campsite looks like it's value for money. It's been wonderful , the music was lovely Merci Marie , your family are blessed & so are we to have You 🤗 ❣️✌️

Marie, I'm glad you mentioned what time of year it was. I was wondering why you were wearing a vest in May. 🤣 Now that I know this was filmed in February, that makes sense! It's good that you got to spend time with your relatives and that they live in such an awesome place along the coast. I never would have expected palm trees and cacti there in France. I always thought it would be too cold. The carnival was certainly interesting to see. All sorts of different groups walking through. Did you have a favorite? Frenchtastic, great video! very beautiful! Tell me, what is your opinion of using AC in summer? I heard people in France don't like to run AC 😲 Here in California, it isn't really optional; 43 C is not an uncommon temperature in summer. Currently it is 23 C and it would already be quite warm inside the building without AC! 27 is predicted on Tuesday. California is 80% solar power when the sun is in the sky, so it isn't contributing to global warming, I know France is 80% nuclear, which is also clean energy 🙂
