I usually hang around downtown during my Vegas trips, but always spend one morning going to the South Point for their buffet and to take a shot at their awesome video poker (9/6 Bonus Deluxe is my favorite game).

It really hurt that on one of my SP stays I walked over to Racebook and saw they stopped using the big paper boards with the entries hand written results. Teller said company stopped making them as every place went electronic.

Best property in vegas by far. Affordable. Everything to do. Treat guests right. Separate race and sports areas.

Nope. Awful place. Yes they have a separate Sportsbook. Woopty doo 🎉 Didn’t have any questions for staff so I can’t attest for the “treating guests right” that said their rewards program blows

If not a bettor wouldn't understand. Malley won 4 mil and retired. Said would have never won with distractions of combined books. And didn't have to pay state taxes.

There was a cement bench right near the Sportsbook entry that I loved to sit on drinking my morning coffee and thru out the day. Hope it’d still there. Stayed at SP since it opened but now haven’t been to LV in years.

Been to the South Point many times. Saw the Righteous Brothers show there. The place is HUGE! And the restaurants are awesome!

That place is overall a smoky dunghole. They also have the worst and most bizarre craps odds I’ve seen at any casino around the world. Safe to assume the food is on the same level.

love The Smokeypoint.....my clothes don't like the place though....you will smell like you been on a weekend camping trip with non stop bonfires

A few days ago, I had the Garden Buffet breakfast buffet 14.95 + tax was $16.20 + tip was about 20 bucks. I'll be honest, not worth it. Never again. Food was good, but not worth 20 dollar breakfast. I went for years when it was 8.95. No longer worth it. I would avoid this buffet now.

@@MrJuvefrank Yes, its fairly low quality. Coffee is very good i will say that. And the service was very good. It was worth 8.95+tip pre covid but 20 bucks now is crazy in my opinion
