Abbie Barnes | Spend More Time In The WILD

5 жыл бұрын

As a day walk, Abbie heads out to walk a 12 mile route from near Kimmeridge to Swyre Head, then along the South West Coastal Path to Kimmeridge Bay, where she finds fossils and a crab! Then, back on the trail, she ventures into the Lulworth Firing Ranges to reach the abandoned village of Tyneham, not before she climbs up the immense hill to Flowers Barrow Hillfort from Worbarrow Bay. Expect lots of geology, archaeology and adventure in this video!

As a matter of fact I love Wales and Scotland just as much a England. I was simply commenting on the huge variety of environments within England. It it simply my opinion. I love England.

Hi Abbie, I've watched your films for a couple of years now. With great pleasure. You inspired me to go to Lundy because of your enthusiasm, so when I retired a couple of months ago I spent a couple of weeks in Devon . And I did the Tarr Steps walk, again, inspired by you! I totally understand your difficulties and I see your self remedy as wonderful. My eldest son is back living with me because of mental health issues and the only cure is taking him to the highlands and islands of Scotland and walking his legs off. D x

Your videos are truly unique! There’s just something about them, I think its the fact that you know the land very well and you give history facts and random stories about the places you visit! You have inspired me to walk my first trail ever -the SDW this summer, at the age of 18! 🙏🏼🙏🏼💚

Great video Abbie, I love your enthusiasm . The geological diversity of Purbeck is incredible for such a relatively small area, and it's easy to get to as well. Swimming at the far end of Worbarrow Bay is a must - a bit of a trek but you'll have the beach to yourself. I'm long overdue a visit.

A walk I have done many times, that view at flowers barrow is my favourite on the coast and my lunch stop. It is so good to hear your perspective Abbie so thanks. BTW you probably know now that the foundations at Clavell Tower are in fact the original foundations before it was moved back 20 metres.
