They aren’t for the public despite us wasting our taxes on them, they’re only interested in their measly wage, following orders because they’re too thick to think for themselves and protecting the nonce elite in power. If I could have a tax reduction and never be able to use the police service again I’d do it tomorrow.

This has got to be the easiest win in court. No reasonable grounds. Initially said the wrong act. Admitted they were only searching you to try to discover your identity. No credible threat to the area or people in the area. Trying to make out that not answering questions that you weren't obliged to answer is suspicious behaviour. And to top it all off, you get assaulted at the end and your property wrongfully seized. These are the type of police officers that we don't want having power over us and if we don't do anything about it, we'll lose all of our rights and freedoms!

@@yujabes I believe so if you are in the UK. They are not private in the sense that you can make up your own plate, as in USA, and then register it. These so-called private plates are actually numbers that have at some time been registered by the DVLA and then given up. When very old cars were scrapped the DVLA retained those cherished numbers in their records. They then sold the right to use them to anyone prepared to pay. They are still part of the DVLA database and are subject to the same conditions as any other plate. If I am incorrect I would be happy to be informed

Also the wreckless tailgaters and dangerous drivers who drive exactly as they like around the entire sprawl of Southampton and get out to punch and stab anyone who sticks to the speed limit or blows a horn at them. People who come out of houses and confront you over parking anywhere near their precious home. Unless you are an absolute animal of a person and are prepared to pull out a blade on someone for nothing you won't survive here. If you are civilized and peaceful Southampton isn't the place for you. There are better places to live, better people, and better neibours out there. Southampton is a very poor example of a basic living standard.

@@Dillionthevillian You are so right Emma. I was always a great supporter of the police, as was nearly everyone except hardened criminals. In London there was a deal: police don't stop taxi drivers and in return taxi drivers would always jump in if they saw a lone cop in difficulties. Cops used to be reasonable, not arresting machines desperate for the chance to add you to their list of arrests and thereby excel in their career. Now it's different, they have alienated so many members of the public by criminalising every person that they are alone, closing ranks and making life a turf war, us versus them. They would need to move mountains to get their respect back, and would need to dress like cops, not like paratroopers, behave like guardians and not like old school prefects. They started it and only they can resolve it.

Jamie Wiseman. That's a Little John type name. He has no wisdom whatsoever. He has lots of ego, aggression, self-righteousness, ignorance of the law. It's highly annoying how he says that he doesn't mind being sued in a civil court for his illegal actions. That sums up a big part of why the culture in the police is so rotten. He thinks he's untouchable. And to date that may well have been the case. Officers like him should be made to pay for their illegal actions. More so than Joe Public would be. Because they are supposed to uphold the law. Not trample all over it when it suits them. At 16:00 that was your cue to say "What are your reasonable grounds for thinking that you will find an article related to terrorism on me?" and "On what reasonable grounds are you saying that my behaviour outside this station has been suspicious?" When they reply that it's because you're filming and refused to answer their (intrusive, rude, nosey) questions then that underlines that they have no actual reasonable grounds.
