I remember working as a Royal Guard in Stockholm during the summer. Chinese turists were always the absolute worst. They would constantly go where they werent allowed to, cutting lines and even mocking the guards. Once during the changing of the guards a buss filled with chinese tourists would suddenly arrive and they would litteraly storm the castle grounds, running in past armed guards, standing infront and blockning the views of people who had waited for hours. Whats worst is that when one of them got escorted out, serveral others would run up behind and pull your uniform, poke at you, make funny faces and more. All while several others would film it all and laugh so loud it almost interupted the whole ceremony. We swedes are tolerant people. In most countries behaviour like this would result in some sort of incarceration. I was both sad and disgusted by the lack of respect for our culture. But all I could do was to act professionaly and do my job the best of my ability.

‘MrChrist741’ If you are a Chinese and really care for traditional cutlure, you will know the ”ancient culture“ since Qing Dynasty was FAKED. Few of above were taught in Confucian were taught in Qing, or Confucianism-schools near your home, I guess? So next time, before criticizing Chinese culture policy(though it's far from ideal), please first show us how much you know in the six aspects. thanks. Otherwise you only qualify yourself as a Fake-Confucianism-Hypocrite. (btw, actually it was the COMMUNISTS who taught their boys and GIRLS of ”礼乐射御书数“ since 1940s...though mostly basicly except in shooting. And that's partly why they beat KMT conterparts so badly. because most KMT soldiers and even officials then were illierates.)

HmMmM Lowly Do not distort the core of this video into an unrelated cosmetic surgery issue. Talking about plastic surgery in Korea can not justify their actions. This video has nothing to do with cosmetic surgery. And at least cosmetic surgery does not give people trouble like they do. This Chinese behavior is clearly wrong behavior. Even worse, the Chinese are filming videos and using them as if the Swedish nation is having problems. The worst is that the Chinese people see the video and blame the Swedish nation. In general, the people of the same country are embarrassed when they see the wrong behavior of their country. So is Korea. But China blatantly blames the other country.This is the difference between the Chinese people and the people of other countries. In China, this appearance is called a "賊反荷杖 ". is not it? shame on you. Finally, in recent years, Chinese people are visiting Korea for cosmetic surgery, and the number is increasing every year. I wonder how you will explain this.

I followed this whole story. The guests arrived basically a day early for their reservation. The hotel wouldn't let them sleep overnight in the hotel lobby. The hotel told them they would have to leave and come back the next day. ( I'm presuming the hotel didn't have a free room that night to offer them or they had and these guests wouldn't pay for the extra night). Screaming and threatening behaviour ensued so, out of safety for themselves and for general peace and quiet in a hotel at night, the receptionist called the police as they had failed to reason with these people. The police arrived an escorted the Chinese out. Nothing wrong with all of that! If I was screaming and threatened someone in China or anywhere else I am certain I would be carted off by the police. What the Swedish police did was drop these tourists outside a subway station. The Chinese approach is to scream and shout and to threaten violence and this way, while it may get you somewhere in China, will never ever work in Europe. If they were calm and gentle with the receptionist it's very likely they could have sat in the lobby and waited without issue. But as I know the Chinese: they wanted their room and they wanted it immediately. This is the famous arrogance we all know among small percentage of Chinese travellers.

Yes the family has to understand you cannot do whatever and gain whatever you want by being rude, you have to follow the rules especially when you are setting foot on other land.

For someone used to a dense city in China, I'm sure it was a shock, but it was not in the middle of nowhere. And the swedish police do this to people who are a bit hot tempered and keep fighting. Sometimes they will be kind to keep your luggage and possibly let you check in an hour or so earlier if there are clean rooms but even this is at their discretion. Typically the hotel lobbies are locked after certain time and only allow access to checked in guests. Personally I would let them stay in the lobby but if it means that I'm breaking the rules of my company then I would have no choice. :(

They do act like this in Russia, I was in a Chinese tour group in Moscow and St petersburg and they do all the same shit like talking loud, spitting and blowing their noses. The Russians still tolerate these tourists because they bring in alot of money seeing how the Rouble now is in the gutter. Some of the hotels during breakfast though will separate these tourists in their own section from the rest which i guess a way of managing masses of mainly older and rowdy Chinese tourists. Overall i didn't see any particular negative treatment against Chinese tourists except from a hustler that almost got into a fight with a elderly Chinese tourist who pushed him out of the way. There's ALOT of them in Russia now and many people on the streets will learn Chinese just to sell them shit. I guess western European countries aren't accustomed to them so this sort of thing happens.

I used to work in hotels for more than a decade, a good hotel is subject to its hospitality towards its guests. Meanwhile it is true that the standard check in time applied worldwide is 2 pm, however as part of our good hospitily, if a room is already available then we can let the guests check in. For guests arriving late night or early morning such this case, i would let them rest in the lobby, we do need to be calm, patient and positive thinking, talk to the guests nicely. It seem that these Chinese tourists have some English knowledge. From this short clip, it seems that this is not a 5 stars hotel, thus the manager on duty can be more flexible to let them to stay at the lobby or certain area in good manner, provide them with hot tea and perhaps blanket, it really does not cost the hotel much, if not nothing at all, so the guests become comfortable and behave nicely. Wait until morning time and if the room is already available, hurry let them check into the room. With this treatment, the hotel just received good review & recommendation, show the real sweddish hospitality. I my self as a hotel manager have done this in the past to my guests.
Mike takeiteasy wonder ... u are good mad ..... just spare some hot tea or warm water already profit from theirs stay
@Tekhelet755 жыл бұрын
Mike takeiteasy We usually end up being quite early at hotels, sometimes by a few hours. The hotels even offer to keep our luggage for us while we go out and explore before check in time. Some hotels are so kind as to even let you check in early once the rooms are available. This Swedish hotel acted incorrigibly and unprofessionally. Police should never have been called on hotel guests who simply arrived early. This hotel should have allowed the early arrival of just two ELDERLY people and a man, to sit at the lounge. I’m pretty sure the Swedes are racists. They did not want to see a Chinese family who are not dressed to the nines, hanging out at the lounge. The man obviously could not book another hotel since all frees are already paid for, whenever you book hotels. The Swedish police also being racists, should have sent the family to the China embassy, or helped the family get access to China embassy. Disgusting Sweden.

Second, which related to the first, is that the information and crime rates they produce are not reliable because of the same reason why no one in China knows what happened in Tiananmen, to the organs of Falun Gong practitioners and the Chinese Communists Party kicking the Kuomintang out when they did shit during the war. It could one or both of the factors either way it’s not a good cause. And the safest country in the world should go to most Scandinavian country and Singapore where the chengguan (城管) won’t beat you or your dogs to death. I know you’re a Chinese and judging from your simplified Chinese name you are not from hk or Taiwan. This mainland Chinese family is so newbie. When I arrived many times at night between around 10PM to 12AM at hotels on my vacation. That mean I have to book for that night, NOT the following night. This family probably never travel before, they thought they could simply stay in the lobby for 8 hours, then check in as earlier as 8AM or so. Problem is you cannot check in that early either because MOST hotel's official check-in hours are 2PM-4PM. This family is stingy, don't want to pay an extra night, but wanted to use the hotel's lobby as their living room for 12+ hours, and to use the couch to rest, not to mention they will use the hotel public bathroom as well. Well, you cannot do that either. If you want to have fun as tourists, then follow the rules and pay your fair share. Stop give the hotel receptionist a hard time. AND don't expect the hotel to feel sympathy with you either when you're really trying to mooch them off. Remember, you're a tourist, not a bump.
