Parts of Asia have been hit by severe heat in recent weeks. An international coalition of scientists said it was a "once-in-200-years" event that would have been “virtually impossible” without human-caused climate change. Record-shattering temperatures of up to 45°C have been seen in multiple countries including Bangladesh, Vietnam, Singapore and China. In this special edition, we take a look at how governments, and people, are trying to adapt.

Anyone noticed that the title says Southeast Asia but they were talking about Bangladesh, China, India etc but Southeast Asia??? France24 needs a geography lesson! Southeast Asia traditionally includes Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Phillipines, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia!

There is just not enough resources for everyone. Just reduce the population so that the existing ones can get sufficient water, electricity and food. It's not that difficult. Before some condemn me, I meant for ALL countries, not just 3rd world or developing ones.

How about YOU take yourself off my mothers earth!?! The earth is plentiful! Its not down to some damn pale faced eugencist to tell people to reduce 'populations' you people are so anti-nature, which is why nature is taking you MF's OUT!

The Earth has enough resources to feed, clothe and shelter 30 billion people. But never enough for just 1 greedy person. Greed, not overpopulation, is the cause. The Earth can support billions, but not billionaires.

When it becomes so hot that crops everywhere cook in the fields, even if irrigated, it will be the demographic turning point. IF there is no nuclear war.

Climate change is not man made. It's natural. Learn how to adapt. If you care about the environment so much, then tell the government to enforce mining companies to refill disused quarries with soil or sand rather than abandoning them to become toxic lakes.
