Drug addiction is a huge problem in the United States. Unfortunately, once the brain has been fried due to drug addiction, it is no longer possible for the brain to return to normal. That's why most of those homeless people will never be able to become functional citizens.

@@azar1520 of course its possible to return to normal, with proper social rehabilitation and opportunity! the problem is many of them already suffered from mental illness to begin with, and US healthcare is so trash they end up homeless and doing drugs to mask the pain

In my experience, most of those homeless people will never be able to be function in society again, and that's because they have some sort of brain damage due to drug abuse.

Many are drug addicts, alchoholics and sex offenders. They cant get jobs because of thier drug and alchohol abuse or the companies dont want the liability of a sex offender reoffending on thier payroll. The truly sad oart is that after a year or two you get used to being on the street. And wont work to get off.

I seen that car many times on that specific area and that exact same car was spotted on another KZfaq video that was recently uploaded from Royal562 called "figueroa street walker getting ticket twerking in front of cops #5" Timestamp 5:13 parked exactly at the infamous motel (The Parlour Motel) where most the hookers from Figueroa go to with their "clients".

That is a whole lot of homeless. We are starting to get some like that in Montreal but nowhere near this. The difference though is -40 in the winter which is pretty bad to live like this.

San Diego in the past wasn't like this back in the 70's or 80's with lousy politicians and high rent and alot of these homeless people were sent to live here from another cities and states on busses to come here homeless and drugs and alcohol plays a roll and losing a job mental health issues etc.

Unfortunately, more or less visible prostitution exists in all countries of the world and will continue as long as there are clients, so perhaps the model of some Nordic countries of focusing action on clients and pimps is the most appropriate. Sex workers are *legal* in more civilized parts of the world where moralistic busybodies are not tolerated. Legal status means that these activities are *not* harassed by self-described "morality police* who are only interested in obsessing over the private behaviors of complete strangers who are harming no one when left alone. The practitioners in these services also live normal lives in private, willingly pay taxes and benefit from often free healthcare in the most advanced countries - which also means there is no incentive for criminal gangs to get involved, as happens when corrupt policemen solicit bribes to leave them alone. The same applies to criminalizing drugs, an *idiotic* idea which only makes things worse for everyone involved and leads in the extreme to serious violence up to and including murder - as when the USA outlawed liquor in the 1930s, then marijuana in the 1960s then every other drug they could think of, which would guarantee that the bribes would never stop! Whoever said there was intelligent life on Earth was not paying attention!!
