@kyndakrazy Because it is a biscuit. Scones are dry and hard. Biscuits are fluffy, covered in butter and taste excellent smothered with gravy.🤤 You try eating a scone with gravy and then come back and tell me that they're the same as a biscuit.😩 Watch your mouth!

The Magnolia Project what kind of crap scones have you been subjected to? Also, scones and biscuits are in two completely different categories... scones are sweet, eaten at breakfast or tea (or when ever because they’re so moist and delicious, especially with clotted cream) and biscuits are savory and eaten with other savory foods and savory food eating times. There’s no legit comparison!
@themagnoliaproject864
@themagnoliaproject864 4 жыл бұрын
@@patmccrutch3927 Biscuits can be sweet too, they're mainly eaten with breakfast in the US but if you're a Southerner then theyre served with every meal, and I agree they are nowhere near the same thing as a scone. Scones are gross biscuits are the business. Biscuits and coffee truly bring me back to my childhood. Monday mornings before track practice. And sunday mornings with grits, eggs, sausage and fried diced potatoes sauteed with chopped onions, red peppers and fresh parsley. Yum. God, the nostalgia.

Could have thrown in the superior Whisky though to give Matt a taste of proper whisky.

In Matts defense, while Twinnings English Breakfast is a fantastic hot tea us Southerners tend to develop a strong complex about hot versus iced tea, especially while its summer... and in a lot of the South mid-september still qualifies as summer with temperatures often still hitting the mid-80s (30c +/- a degree or two for y'all metric chaps). The southern accent is derived from the Scottish. Most of us down here have direct lineage to Scotland or Ireland. It's evolved throughout the decades but it is essentially began as a mix of American colonial, Scottish and Irish accents.
