One reason why I gave up dancing/flag at my high school I was not willing to wear wigs or ponytails when my hair was already long ! But these girls are beautiful do

Tracy Prince from Chicago, maybe the finest woman ever,was captain in the mid -90s I think. Hope she's doing well

Rahloh McDonogh She's great she went on to dance on Broadway shows. Traci moved to Houston and got married around 10 years ago; and opened her own dance studio teaching all ages. She is definitely the Rolls Royce of Dancing Dolls.

The Southern A&M College "Southern Belles" were majorettes/twirlers... The "Southern Belles" were a different auxiliary, pre the forming and founding of the The Southern University and A&M College "Fabulous Dancing Dolls", 1969 ... The Dancing Dolls also twirled batons, on special features only, seasons 1969-70

Thanks so much for the information. I am currently a baton twirling teacher as well as an SU alumni. Unfortunately when I attended Southern, majorettes/twirlers were long gone. I was crushed because I had such a passion for baton twirling.

Ms. Kae....I am at once in Awe and truly Humbled by this documentary of The Fabulous Dancing Dolls. I'm a bit late to the Dance having only Discovered them this Season. I was able to catch the Reunion as posted by Dr. Price but your offering has further enlightened me to this RICH LEGACY. Thank You!

Remember seeing the dolls around 85 or 86 and they danced to a donna summer song "finger on the Trigger"...THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST ROUTINE!!

Perhaps I'm wrong but I always viewed Louisiana, especially NO and Southern as a place where they that take pride in colorism. Judging off the pictures light skin is the standard of beauty for the dancing dolls. Nonetheless a strong dancing team.

Beautiful sentimental journey. Back when the ladies danced like ladies. Now, however beautiful they are, today's dancers perform like strippers and some of their moves are just vulgar. smh
