The Southern University Fabulous Dancing Dolls and Human Jukebox take over Los Angeles in preparation for the Tournament of Roses Parade. Their second Stop was the Historic First African Episcopal Church of Los Angeles.

I absolutely love the dolls. The are my favorite Squad right there with Golden Delights. I must point out on the song Getaway specifically starting at 6:52 - 7:05 that transition always stumble the ladies. And you know the ones who study their music and know it, Danielle Stamper was a master at this and Gabby Slayed it every time on this song. And Cam has picked the torch up because it is important to know the music where the bridges, transition, tempo changes are. This song GETAWAY. Cam and Jada caught it and got the girls on beat. It’s a beautiful tradition and is very effective when the dancers flows with the music. Gabby did it perfectly at an earlier game this season. This for me is critical for who is captain material amongst other criteria. Kudos Killa Cam and Jada Slaya. Love y’all and Have a Blast in California

There's nothing wrong with being competitive. Stop making it about "supporting" an HBCU. All HBCU schools are not the same and they all have different interests. Each school thinks theirs is the best and would support their own before another. And there's nothing wrong with that. It shouldn't be a guilt trip. Play the game and be competitive like everyone else. Even the white schools do it.

Kel0390 maybe that’s your mentality I try to support all HBCUs and yes I love SU but there is no perfect marching band some do things better than others but over all I stand by Southern being one of the best for decades and one of the most consistent! If this was Jackson State or Grambling and the performance was just as good I would give them a thumbs up and support will come from me that’s just how I Iook to champion these kids on that work hard instead of tear them down and who cares if the white schools do something that shouldn’t justify my actions why some is right or competitive.

We used to do that when I was young, back in the 60s, use something called Dippity Doo to make pin curls in our hair. Those curls would bounce around a lot, but they lasted a long time! Wonder what they use now? Haven't seen Dippity Doo for a long time...

i wish they would have bought their umbrellas, and played do whatcha wanna, or Let your mind be free, to give LA. more of a American South feel of how we do it down here. But i understand they weren't dressed for that. but it would have been nice, especially being captured un front of that castle looking mansion. in fact that look like it's somewhere in New Orleans.

You would think Micah would have learned her lesson but she called a formation only for her to come in an 8 count earlier before the other girls finished to throw a count right at a tempo change when if she would waited, like she was suppose to, she probably would realize the beat was changing and throw the next count properly. This is where musicality comes into play because if she knew the songs then she would know the tempo change also what formation will end soon enough to catch the next beat. One mess ok but this happened twice in the same performance day poor cam lol. FYI I have nothing against Micah I think she's a great dancer but when it comes to Dancing dolls, especially the captain, these kinds of mistakes are below them!
