Mr Simmons is a true hearted person. And one the youngest sucessful directors in HBCU bands. He only shows out like this when provoked due to trash talk from the other band directors. Many of them old school band directors like to talk smack but can't back it up. Brain serves them what they ask for. Play with a wild untamed lion and you get ate up. IJS

Then HE SHOULDNT do this. If he is provoked by other band directors, he needs to keep it calm and let the band's talent show out. He teaches talent, so he needs to keep still. Somebody hit you back, let your talent show and that'll smack their ass down.

I personally like seeing a young man shake up the game like Simmons is doing. We haven't seen this kind of hype and showmanship on a consistent since guys like Mr. Jackson and Roy Johnson. Yeah...we know Mr. J. did it first but I thought it was still good fun.

I luved when he started doing push-ups during Stuntin Like my Daddy (?) during one of the State Fair Showdowns v TxSU...2018 or 2019. I also luv how none of SU's other four band directors moved a muscle. Mr. Simmons is a grown-a** man who clearly felt some kind of way & had something to get off his chest. You know the Jukebox WANTS ALL THE SMOKE, ALL WAYS!
