I just started watching these videos and I am amazed at the top notch equipment they have at each station. What a first class department.

Awesome as always! Keep up the videos (one a month isn't enough!) It's great to learn more about SMFR and what you do for the community.

Well I'll be! I knew I noticed Marty from somewhere, when I saw him in his Walmart work uniform riding in the engine I remembered having a short conversation with Marty at my local Walmart. He's a great kid, and I'm glad to see that he has found an outlet to enjoy and take part in!

Don’t be nervous! I’m sure your local fire department(s) would be glad to talk to you! If you want to become a firefighter you definitely can! I’m sure of it. Or if you just like the fire service in general but don’t want to join that’s perfectly okay too!

Something like that last still alarm happened on the show emergency. They pulled the squad out to to run a call or get medical equipment form the hospital and had an RV Fire right in front... they did not pull the engine they have lines set up behind the station that they pulled and used. Why they have some behind the station I am not sure!

3000 gallons sounds like a lot but I imagine for a large brush fire that probably doesnt last very long at all
@trob09144 жыл бұрын
#tactical ministries :3000 gallons is actually a pretty good amount for " initial" attack for either a wildland or a structure fire, however it would be consumed rather quickly on a structure fire as opposed to a wildland fire ( depending on tactics). The key as the Lt. talks about is shuttling water ( as well as good water mgmt), into the folda- tanks, I once participated in a fire department's "successful" test to flow 1000 gal/ minute for 1 hour from a set-up of( 4) 1500 gallon folda- tanks( performed in a rural non- hydranted area)so a continuous operation can be sustained with some good coordinations by the attack rig and tender/ tankers!Good video!!

Did they start a possible evac. from the school? Have them stand by? Also nice you let that person ride along with you once in a while. I am hoping where I live they will let me do that with out going through all the work to get one... I would do all the work once and after that I would hope they would just let me come and I would also hope they would just do what you do!
