Southwest Connection Shuttles at 30th St - SEPTA TrAcSe 2019

The Southwest Connection Improvement project essentially is what the name implies - improvement to the Southwest Connection between 30th Street Station and Arsenal Interlocking.
Because of this project, University City Station is out of commission. SEPTA is operating shuttle bus service to three spots from 30th Street Station:
To Philadelphia Airport
To University City
To 49th Street Station (Media Elwyn)
This video focuses on those shuttles.

I remember when I was on 38th and Market and I saw the R1 buses turning off 38th Street and going down towards 30th

The R1 still lives!! I really think SEPTA shouldn't have drop there R numbers for the Regional Rail lines but I do Understand if a train is going someplace other than is intended destination it will cause for some confusion. For example R6 Norristown supposedly goes to Cynwyd not becoming an R2 Newark/Marcus Hook. It's been years now since SEPTA it did that so it is what it is. Nice videos anyway Dash!!

The R1 was the only one that was ever consistent. All the others was a mixed bag of confusing, and not to mention that there was two versions of each line with the same color and numbers. Like the average rider really knows the difference between the "Pennsylvania" side and the "Reading" side.

I didnt know they were doing a connection program that why i saw buses were running on rail shuttle 2 days ago

This will be going on until August, which is when the trolley tunnel blitz 2019 starts up.

Agreed, but to be fair it's always best to know alternate ways - if one takes the 13 trolley from here, it takes half the time.

This shuttle went to 49th Street Station. That would be the 13 trolley not the 36.
