I am from Kerala and I know Malayalees buy Gold like crazy. So I will add one more fun fact with this. In lower-earning families, they try to buy 1 to 5 gm of gold coin in every 6 months or in a year when they have a girl baby(birthdays). So that when it's time for her marriage these coins can be exchanged to buy jewelry for a much better price.

One correction Nikhil in 1:42 -> it's "current account deficit" not "fiscal deficit" .Fiscal-deficit refers to difference between government's total spending and it's revenue

Central banks always had gold deposits as Gold was proportional to currency in circulation until Nixon took us off gold standard. Now they are simply augementing.

I don't think gold is a good instrument for investing. It may provide stability to portfolio but the cycles of return are extremely long. Stability is also very important in Portfolio. For that matter nothing can beat real estate. Real estate means land, bunglow farm house, agricultural land, commercial shops. But the property must not be a floored property in any case. Floored properties depreciate over a period of time.

Floored property means owning a residential or commercial floor in a building. In such cases you don't become the owner of piece of land. That's why must not be bought.

01:44 we have never been major producer of Gold. All the gold that India acquired during that period was because of our exports of grains, cotton, textiles, spices, ivory and handicrafts in exchange for Gold. We were hardly importing anything except gold.

The video was quite nice and informative and its always great to watch you speak as you are so knowledgeable about almost everything. One thing I would like to highlight though which comes out very starkly is that there have never been any women in your show? Is it being done purposely as you want it to be a men's party or they are being just missed out? i am sure there are far more successful women on social media than tanmay bhat who have reached there with really good content rather than cheap useless jokes that don't server any purpose to anyone.

@@entrepreneurclipss Hindi is indeed most spoken language but not everyone speaks Hindi Like southern states ,north eastern states,west bengal, Maharashtra,orissa Majority of their population speaks their native tongue and also have a state board (which includes their STATES LANGUAGE) that allows them to be fluent in eng and their state language they know Hindi little bit . So to cater to all of India not only central and northern states it is preferable to spread knowledge in a common medium of language which in this case happens to be English
