FYI if anyone wants a free alternative use an eq into a transient plug-in (kilohearts is good) and then just invert the phase against a dry copy using your daws utilities (that gives you the 'delta') and throw into a reverb

you can also use a limiter and then put that against the phase inverted signal to isolate the transient, same process

@@DAN-ny4xx nice idea but not quite the same , a limiter is threshold dependant, whereas a transient enhancer is envelope based so works on every peak regardless of level.

Yeahh.. get Spiff!! Absolute must have. Bit expensive but worth every penny. It's also for turning transinets down. 10/10 plugin

The delta mode on that plug-in is basically a solo button that isolated what it is removing or taming to help you hear what it’s doing. Really creative use of this plugin!

the effect is cool. All this had me investigate what that delta mode does. Then delta often means a difference between 2 values. In other words it lets you hear the difference between 2 signals. Using phase cancellation principle we can do a similar thing with delta monitoring (found an article about that from sound on sound using brickwall limiters). Had me play with Cubase routing a bit more further. Did things differently but it inspired me by recalling I could use phase cancellation to check differences. Definitely doable but FL Studio would allow me to use something such as patcher to avoid multiplying mixer channels.

Honestly…….just watch some KZfaq videos (I did) and from most, you’ll only take away 1 or 2 things but those 1 or 2 things are always huge. And then just your own hands on experiences will teach you faster than anything else. She’s an extreme beast with it. Tons & tons of experience because a lot of what she does you’re not learning overnight. But good luck with it all. Ever have any questions don’t be a stranger 🎶

Good idea to use the difference as the sound itself. And is possible to do with any plugin, well, to some extent. Time based or latency creating effects might not work as great.
