It's been over a year and sometimes I still look at either of them and it hits me like a brick to my face -I'll probably never see them on the same stage EVER again- and I 😭😭😭 I cry bc I miss them, but there's not an ounce of disappointment. My babies talked amongst themselves, they made the best choices for themselves and each other. I will forever be grateful that they didn't just disappear into thin air, or just had one heck of a messy disbandment like other groups. Like the queens they are, they handled everything gracefully. I will ALWAYS be STAR1 for BEST SISTAR ❤

I think they originally didn't plan to disband yet, but something probably happened during the negotiations for the contract renewal. As far as I remember they were planning to release a song called Beautiful monster, but shortly after, the news of the disbandment came out. My guess would be they wanted a year or two more, but we all know how Starship treated them and they probably didn't respect their wishes. I can understand though that it must be very hard for Soyou. Hyorin always had a clear goal in mind, Dasom said since debut that she wanted to act, and Bora just seemed to be really over the idol life - she was always the "family type", and she is also doing acting. Soyou is very talented, very beautiful, but she always seemed to be kind of lost and relying a lot on sistar-comebacks. So I feel she must been hurt the most out of them. I really love her though and I hope she finds something she will truly enjoy and not just be a puppet for Starship.

As sad as I was when they disbanded, I was really happy to know that they all still hang out and still support each other like true sisters. The fact that they had a reunion stage this past week on YHY Sketchbook made me so happy and made me more hopeful for a comeback in the future with a new song. I think we are close to coming back with a new song!! Their reunion stage made me that much more hopeful!! Sistar 2022!!! Let's go!!

It's September 2018 and I still get very emotional when this topic is brought up.

I am not ashamed to say that I miss Sistar and that I wish they didn't disband. But I wholeheartedly respect their decision as a group. The 4 of them came together and decided together that it was time. It was time for them to move on to the next chapter of their lives and leave "Sistar" behind. Not many groups get to say "THEY" decided to end the group on their terms. Rather than a company just disbanding a group because they aren't as popular anymore or aren't making as much money. They decided to leave on their terms and pursue new career goals in their lives. I will forever love Sistar and they will always be the "Queens of Summer". I will cherish every song they said with us and every memory they gave us. P.S. I love "Lonely" and am so thankful they gave us 1 last song before disbanding, but man does it make me sad every time I hear it. But I love it so much I listen to it all the time. xD Lol

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Stay strong, soyou! I wished people focused more on supporting their solo activities, instead of bringing up about the disbandment. There's still a long way to go and it's only been a year so I understand that people need to grieve (so do I😭). I think only when we get past the grieve will then the members be more comfortable talking about the disbandment.

Soyou is my favorite Sistar member. It's unlucky for Soyou that Sistar disbanded. She didn't want to disband because she was a real singer and wanted to continue pursuing a singing career. We need to support Soyou in her singing career because she deserves to be recognized as the one who didn't want to give up. She still hasn't joined another group ever since which shows her loyal character as well. Soyou as a person is a gem just like her beauty.

I am such a proud fan of the most beautiful group ever existed. Everything about them was beautiful from their singing to their healthy bodies, and they continue to prove how beautiful they are after disbandment. They have one of the MOST beautiful goodbyes. As a fan who loved them since their debut days, it was hard to see them disband but seeing how much love they still have for eachother made it easier. They seriously disband in such a proper way that made me knew I stan for the right group.

Watching back Sistar vids and came across this and I was in tears. Gosh. They will always be the B.E.S.T. Forever summer queens that slay all seasons.

Well, they disbanded at the point where they are considered to be among the "Elite" group in Kpop and undeniably the "Queens of Summer", i think even if the disbandment wasnt even supposed to happen , at least disbanding while they were still on the A-list is still better than disbanding after they lost popularity and slowly dying from lack of popularity itself which happens to many well known kpop groups.

Now i know this disbandment was sad, but i think SISTAR disbandment was much more proper and carefully done. It wasnt like "oh they arent doing so great so lets disband them" or some drama where a member left and stuff like that. They announced their disbandment and even made a last album as a group before going their seperate ways. So yes in my own way I am sad but at least they gave us time to be prepared.

I'm crying hard rn. ! Still can't move on about the disbandment 😭 . It hurts.

Majority agency are forcing the artists to promote the newbies or rookies, killing 2 bird with 1 stone, it can save budget in advertising and promoting. Everyone know, but, all the artists want is repay. "You ask me to promote newbies? No problem, all I want is a comeback song or album and promotion activities for me, it's just give and take." I think the artists is fine in promoting newbies if the agency give some promotion for artists. Yet, some of the selfish agencies pretending to plan activities for the artists. And the most unfair is, let's say : if the artists have 5 years contract with agency, but active for 2 years, on hiatus for remaining 3 years; and doing promoting newbies? So, what's the difference with "salesman" promoting "products"? (-_- |||) I believe, this is the main cause for some of the K-Pop groups' disbandment. To the selfish agencies, you can fool the teenage K-Pop fans, but you cannot fool senior K-Pop fans. I'm a K-Pop fan for 6 years ; some of the stupid agencies playing these tricks can't fool me. 2017 have the most disbandment news of K-Pop groups.

For the people blaming the disbandment on Hyolyn, Hyolyn as the leader of Sistar took a lot of the blame and criticism when the news about the disbandment came out which I think was very unfair and undeserved. Yes, she was the only member ready for a solo career but people who actually followed Sistar would know that it wasn't only her decision and that they all made the decision together. People keep forgetting that Bora was the first one to leave Starship and sign with a new agency but she didn't get any hate for that because she wasn't going to pursue a music career after the disbandment and Dasom had been wanting to focus on acting since she was a trainee. I feel like only Soyou may have wanted to continue to promote as Sistar but at the end of the day, majority rules and she was probably out numbered. The members may or may not have made the right decisions at the time but their disbandment is legendary status and it was the most beautiful ending to their legacy as SIstar. The fact that they remained close throughout the years says so much more about their relationship with each other and that's what matters the most. Now it's 2022 and we finally got out reunion stage with all the girls singing their hit songs!! This can only happen because they still remained so close. Sistar 2022~~

I understand that sistar end and fans and me too where sad. But i think they could of done it differently. By like we now summer is sistar. They shouldnt have disbanded they could jave only realased music for us in summer and go do things that they love after or rest. Solo comeback whatever it was. But i think sistar could of still be together. But im happy for them.

Even though I wasn't a hardcore fan of SISTAR, it's impossible to ignore their impact on the industry and paving the way for non-big 3 girl groups to make it big. We always want our fav groups to last forever but like others said - it's better to go out on top and unfortunately girl groups just have such a short life. Seeing her as a mentor on shows for some reason really made me happy since she found a niche she seems to enjoy. A lot of groups that debuted around 2014/2015 are disbanding this year (or last year) and it's really pulling at the heart strings that there's a second wave going their own way. BUT for the first time ever I'm seeing old groups (S.E.S., FINKL, After school) reconnecting and it gives me hope that even if it takes 5,10, 15 years that we'll see these groups on the stage in some way again :)

I started tearing up. I really miss them. They were the only group I ever actually followed. I'm happy they ended on good terms and everything, but I still wish they would've continued as a group.

They did the right thing. None of the KPOP groups lasts forever even SNSD has already disbanded so do KARA, 2NE1, B2ST, and many others. I as a fan would be loved to see all of SISTAR still keep in touch and stay together as best friends. That is what makes both them and the fans happy.

I honestly will never love a girl group as much as I loved sistar. I may love a few girl groups now but the excitement I had for sistar will always be so special. They were the first ever girl group I fell hard for and its still so hard to accept sistar is no more. But I could not be more proud so see how they have come as individuals. And maybe they will do what sechskies did reuntie on their 20th aniversary. And I will fly to korea if I have to! I still have to meet them and even if it will be in 20 years.

This summer I was feeling down, because there weren't no Sistar comeback, their summer songs all performances. Even tho there were al of girl group, but NO!
