Instead of just entering a total number of pixels (in this case, 72, which lights up exactly half the strip), will this controller let you choose a specific, single pixel, or range of pixels? Like, ONLY light up pixel number 72? Or only light up the pixels from 82 to 92? What about combining these (only light up pixel 72 and range 82-92)? And can these be tied to the timer function? Like, only light up pixel 72 and range 82-92, from noon 'til 1 o'clock, every day? That's what I'm needing, for an LED schedule/poster idea I have for where I work.

I do not a lot of custom automotive lighting especially on my car and I love these addressable RGB strips b/c they are packed with LED chips and the app allows you modify the patterns in a way that none of the halos & strips I've bought. My question is, can this wifi controller be wired into my cars 12 volt DC system and what is the next/designation of the strips on your site? I'm still learning the LED strip designations.

Depends on the voltage of your led strip. If it is 12v then yes, if not you will have to buy step down or step up dc-dc converter so that the led strip gets the required voltage.(you will need a high current one if you are using long length strip)

Can 2pieces of Sp108e wifi controller will control at the same time? I'm planning to make led matrix on the left side and right side of the stage that's why I'm going to have two separate sp108E wifi controller. I'm putting printed tarpaulin at the center of the stage that's why the led matrix is located on the left side and right side of the stage because the center of the stage is occupied by the printed tarpaulin 😍 Can this be possible? I cant get it to connect to wifi it jsut says configuring for 5+ minutes. I can connect to LAN tho. Whats the key to get to wifi? 2.4 ghz i suppose?

Hello, can you set different colours in specific range while static? I want to set LED 1-30 to be red, LED 31-60 to be Green, and LED 61-90 to be Blue, static, without an animation. Is this possible with the SP108E?

Can I control two sp108e from the same application? Can I choose a different number of LEDs for each section? there is some other similar controller but with Bluetooth that makes the same effects as the sp108e?

When you choose an image in the DIY mode, does it get downscaled according to the amount of leds on your strip (e.g. if I have 150 leds, I'd have to work with 150x150px images)? If so, can we get a bigger resolution if we set a higher led count? If not, at what resolution does the pictures get downscaled to? Also, how slow can you set the animation speed? Thanks!

@@jamiekembel5204 I found out working with 1200x1200px images worked best for a 150 leds strip. At the lowest speed, you can make a 16 second long animation if you divide the square in 150 rows. I can send you some examples if you want to!

When I got the same controller and the same led strips it didnt work. Like almost every diot was not lighting up. Only few of them were blue, but it was really strange. I connected them, but they are the same as before.. Is it with power supply or I just got broken led strip?

How much power and how many controller do i need for 15m ( separated thru extension ).. the led will be ws2812b . 60 per m. And the controller would be sp108e wifi.

Even IF the app mentions only WS2811 and WS2801 from the WS line, is it going to work with WS2813 as i don't want for the whole string to die if one LED goes out.

It seems there are a lot of cable, what tipe of connection it is? Is it 4 pin strips or 3 pin strips? Is rhe connection to the power suplly is easy? If you got a strip with 30 led per meters how many meters can you light up ?

so if i have well understood. if i want 10 meters led addressable led strip control by wifi like on the video. i need a supply power that give enough power then a wifi controller between supply power and strip and then i connect the two strips in series. So if i take 30 leds/m on 10 meters what power supply should i take?

i brought sp108e v2 , but i have a problem i coulndt find any solution on internet. i turned on controller and linked ap mode. colors are mixed after connected the device, for exaple i want to red light and then choose red but led turn light green, i choose yellow leds turn purple... can you help me for this?

This is just the RGB sort is different, please open the APP setting and set the RGB sort, maybe is BRG or GBR etc.

Is there a way of mimicking the colours that are present on your PC screen? I am looking to make my flight sim a bit more immersive. So for example if i fly into a sunset I would want the LED's to display the dominant colour of the orange/pinkish colour on my wall behind the monitor. It would also be cool for watching movies or playing other games too. I know LIFX and certain colour changing bulb apps have this function for example, but not sure about this.

Такой вопрос: когда Вы картинку используете, она растянута на Ваши 60 диодов - а у меня на заборе 1200 диодов - контроллер картинку растянет на все 1200 диодов или определенное количество картинок будут дублироваться на длинной ленте? То есть длина волны (или изображения) статична или растягивается под количество диодов?

You need to turn off led controller, then connect your phone to your wifi, afther that in app click on add device and turn on your led controller, fill password, name of your controller show up after 20 sec.

the start of the led strip if a male 3 pin and the connector on the controller is a male 3 pin how are you meant to plug them up? the only female is on the back end of the strip

I have sk6812 rgbnw led strip with controller sp108e wifi. So..the white wire goes to GND.green to Dat.Red to Vcc. In the app i can Not make work on Single color lile blue or red.always shows mix colors. Whats wrong..?

You probably have the RGB orientation wrong, in the app, try changing from RGB to GRB,BGR,BRG,RBG and GBR.

It won't work with WLED. WLED runs on ESP8266. This has an ESP8266, but it only handles WiFI. A separate MCU controls the LED string. You'd have to patch around it in order for this to work with WLED.

i have a question. what is the power brick rating that needs to go into the controller? and doesnt the light strip need any additional power through the other 2 cables?

there are 2 sets of wires at one end, 2-pin power wire and 3-pin signal wire, the 2-pin red wire is V+, black is V-. the 3-pin red is V-(if your led lights supply power separately, you can remove the red wire), green is DAT, white is GND/V-, GND+DAT is signal wire

"Set pixels number of each section" What is a section?

For example, the total pixel of the 1m LED strips is 144, so you can set "NUM/SEC" to be 6 or 12, then the "SEC" should be 24 or 12. Just make sure the total pixel is the amount of the whole LED strips at the least, then you can set the "NUM/SEC" and "SEC" you like. Also, with different "NUM/SEC" and "SEC", the effects of the LED strips will be different, you can have a try. Higher number, higher end controller. I honestly have to say that the SP108E is probably the best one from the SP line as you can import pictures and have them as effects. Heck you can even use a gradient maker and a photo resizer (most gradient makers shape the gradient for it to be a background) and resize the picture to 1280x1280 or even more as lower resolutions don't fully work.

Sp107e is by far the more reliable. Also has sound reactive mode. Cannot get my sp108e to work with WiFi only direct connection.
