Actually the time complexity according to you would depend on the machine which would be invariable since different machines have different configuration Due to this time complexity would be different on different machines so we dont consider time complexity as the time required but rather we consider time complexity as" Number of steps required to complete the execution of a program". Since the number of steps required would be independent of the system we are using. Kindly correct this.

I am sorry. I think the linear space complexity is: 2*n+1. sum, 'i' are taking values in every repetition of the loop. So, 1 for sum, and 1 for 'i', means 2 'words' for both sum, i. This is happening n times in the loop. So we have (1+1)*n=2*n. Plus the n variable which happens only once (as I understand) so n costs 1 word. In the end the whole costs: 2*n+1. This is my understanding is the linear function: y=2*n+1. Thanks a lot
