Space Engineers - Freight cargo train

Space Engineers - Freight cargo train is heavy version of passenger train. More powerful adn capable of transport tons of materials and ores.
Every car can hold 1 large and 1 small cargo container or 2 small containers.
Train is semiautomatic - you just hit button between 2 and 9 tehn the trains will reach defined speed and keep it. Very easy to use.
Safe speed is 80m/s, super-safe speed is 60m/s. Train can survive 100m/s

I’ve never seen a train that actually can survive those speeds, not to mention the look is amazing and it runs so smooth, I’d love something like this

it survives because damage is disabled :D that is important for trains, because space engineers mechanic a physics are broken

One day we’ll have physics that allows for mechs and trains and other complex builds that don’t require damage to be disabled in order to not explode

I mean, with mechs we're already there. Just need to use wheels as the contact point for the feet. And trains... I've been experimenting a bit with them myself and they work fine, though I admit what I've been working on isn't nearly as extensive as this.

This is by far the best setup I have seen (on the ground.....not saying space relm setup are better I only seen big setups like this on earth and mars) but I was watching at all the stuff you had to make not just the train and the tracks (which is more then impressive imo) the train looks beautiful engineered and I can't even imagine how long the track took espically with that long bridge that had the supports build with it.....this video deserves so much credit I can't even cover everything in the comments so for short ill just say what an incredible masterpiece job well done

Amazing work with all the Engineering, friend! As a Forklift Operator, however, I can see that maybe you need a little more time behind the wheel. 😂 Overall, though, I am thoroughly impressed. 👍

Very nice. I have a completely different approach to trains and it's interesting to see how other handle it. I do prefer the look and SE feel of mine but it comes no where near the smoothness of your bends and stability at high speeds. I do wonder how the small grid rails effect performance in huge rail system. Oh and if you happen to read this: does the base functionality of this require any mods?

No, my trains does not require any mods. All used mods are just for better look

Bloody hell😱 how long was this taking to build? And ar you using mods or is that vanilla? Massive respect for that And now a little joke for the germans here: Ich wette der zug hier ist ebenfalls pünklicher als die DB oder jeder ander bahn geselchaft in deutschland I bet the train here is also more punctual than the DB or any other railway company in Germany

3 months, vanilla with visual mods and planet. Have you ever been in Czech Republic? :D I think we have worse trains then DB :D

@@Hane1s no i was in all directions but east you think? We have around thes three months over 50% of all trains often that 10 up to 30 min overtime. And that is the best. In worst case the fall out

cool vid but can you also move the cargo fully loaded? does the train not phase through the rails when fully loaded? (mine did, canceled the projekt because of lacking physics 😐)

I did not test it. It is creative world with custom cargos. Give me some hours and I let you know ;)

test complete: worked with some updates... more thrusters and more strength on wheels. Reached 60m/s then 80m/s and finally 100m/s and didn´t bug into the rail. I will make some Q&A video after some time :)

curious about the numbers, i used 2 large grid large cointainers filled with ore, so 1500t each for a total of 3kt+ on a wheel-blastdorblock-based desing, looking forwart to that Q&A@@Hane1s
